I Have worked for many years as an Oriental Antique restorer, encompassing every media except pottery.

Kintsugi Wabi Sabi is my new venture, using a material I am familiar with, Japanese Urushi (Lacquer) and restoring /repairing Pottery.

Kintsugi or Kintsukuroi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold or silver.

As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.
