Today I went to the moon for a customer.
A contact I met recently recommended me to someone at The Natural History Museum in London.
... Rather than have a call, I offered to pop in for a coffee to chat about what she was looking for. And on the way out, she showed me the museum's new moon installation. It was quite something.
It's the second 'why don't I pop in for a coffee?' chat today and I have 4 new opportunities and 3 'let me put you in touch with...' introductions to come.
It's often said that we should go the extra mile for our customers.

ARE YOU VISIBLE?
I took this photo from across the Champs Elysees in Paris. You cannot see the name of the shop but I'll bet most of you know exactly who it is.
Tiffany's.
... It's the same colour as the little blue bag I had to have 13 years ago in New York even though I was wearing my purchase and there was no use for it.
But there was the sheer thrill of dangling that little patch of turquoise from my fingers as I sauntered down Madison Avenue. I was Audrey's Holly Golightly and Madonna's Material Girl all rolled into one.
But it was, and still is, an empty bag. A token that is now squirreled away in a drawer wrapped in all of my joyful memories of that moment.
And as I gazed out over the Champs Elysees that night, that bright splash of colour reached out from 13 years ago and gave me that moment of joy all over again.
That blue was Tiffany's branding masterstroke.

PEOPLE WE KNOW, LIKE & TRUST
This is the creation of street artist Nathan Bowen.
Nathan uses London's streets as his gallery and his work suggests a fast and furious mind and one determined to make its mark. You'll find his distinct style invading building site hoardings in the most unlikely places around the capital. This photo was taken where Charing Cross Road meets St Martin-in-the-Fields at the top corner of Trafalgar Square. It's a busy pocket of pedestrians, cabs and ...buskers.
Intent on getting where I needed to be, I wouldn't have stopped if I hadn't have seen Nathan's work before and recognised his unique style. When I did stop, I was delighted. There he is again, I smiled to myself.

But the job is not finished because the Kym-shaped box will always be a work in progress. It's longer hours and harder work than I've ever experienced - a roller-coaster of unbelievable highs and soul-searching lows.
Yet I have more energy and passion than I've felt in years.
