La Bohème Description
Nestled between Leeds' shopping district and its cultural /social hub, La Bohème is a bar /club with a soothing space to kick back and relax during the day with a coffee or coctail, transforming into a subterranean playground as the evening descends. Open 7 days a week from 12pm till late, La Bohème offers a unique space for events, entertain business contacts or simply a place to escape to for a quiet coffee or after work drinks and pre-dinner cocktails.
With three rooms of varied sizes and comfortably accommodating anywhere from 150 to 1, 500 guests, this versatile unit is a promoter’s or Events Manager’s dreams come true, with facilities for Corporate Hospitality, Training Days, Fashion Shows etc to Private Celebrations. Richard Manuel is an internationally renowned artist, much in demand as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. He has appeared on many shows including : “La Milonga Interna”, “Una noche en Buenos Aires”, “Romance d’Carnaval”, “Ferverosa” “Tangomotion” and “Midnight Tango”.

His teaching includes analysing the structure of the dance without which you cannot speed up the learning process. He has designed sets of individual and group exercises to improve alignment, motion, flexibility and awareness; his priorities include music, economy of energy, relaxed embrace, dissociation, orientation into space. He also gives workshops on tango notation which is for him an essential part of his approach to the dance. To implement his training he has studied Skinner release technique, contact improvisation, tai-chi, yoga and butoh.
