Today we have been raising money for Children in Need. Our staff have taken part in a sponsored team bicycle challenge - cycling from London to Paris - 214 miles. All completed within the Nursery setting on an exercise bike throughout the day! We have also held a Bake Off which was judged by our in house Cook Charlotte! Thank you to all families and staff who have contributed to such a fantastic cause 😀 🚲 🎂

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our donations for the Harvest Festival at St Peter's Church. We have delivered the food to St Peter’s Church today for it to be passed on to the Sandbach Food Bank' 😀

This morning we are adding some extra morning snacks to our Breakfast Station for parents. On selected days throughout the next few months, we will be offering different foods from around the world for parents (and older siblings not attending nursery!) to enjoy. This will be in addition to the fresh fruit, cereal bars, tea, hot chocolate and coffee available.
Today we have a French theme - there are croissants, pains au chocolat and pains au raisin.

Being children for the day - staff day out at The Crocky Trail! 🦎

The children recently took part in a Sponsored Listen in conjunction with Usborne Books. The children spent the week listening to lots of different stories both at home and nursery. Our local Usborne Distributor, Jane Dickinson, came along to the setting to read some special books during our Listening week. Altogether we raised enough money for the Nursery to receive over £700 worth of free books for all the children to enjoy. Everyone who took part received books to the total value of their sponsor money! Well done to everyone who participated!

Yesterday PC Sue and PC Scot from Cheshire Police visited the nursery.
They talked to the children about the role of The Police and how they help to keep us safe. The children were able to try on the Police uniform and look inside the Police car. PC Scot also set the car sirens off for the children and talked to them about what the different siren sounds meant.

This week we have been getting active for Sport Relief! Each room has been exploring a different sport each day and we have had lots of fun! We engaged in different types of dancing from around the world with Miss Jo the Dance Teacher. We have been practising our football skills in the Star Garden and took part in a beat the goalie competition too! We had a visit from a yoga teacher, we really enjoyed bending and stretching our bodies to the calming music. The babies too...k part in their own baby yoga session too and also spent time moving ribbons to music. We have been very busy moving around the obstacle courses outside and enjoyed exploring in the giant ball pit. We have taken part in some egg and spoon and sack races and had a mini medal ceremony at the end. Thank you for all the donations we have received and a big well done to all the children who joined in getting sporty this week! ⚽️🎾🏓🏀🧘‍♀️👫😀
