We were named after a special dish which literally means "hen in the pot". The chicken is cooked in the stock (so it stays juicy and moist) in the same pot as the vegetables. Have you tried it yet?? 😋

My London friend recommended us this restaurant. We went there on our last day of our trip, my husband and I both had a very lovely birthday dinner. Wonderful food, great atmosphere and service! There is no doubt that we will recommend our friends around the world to come too!

Lovely, long running, French country restaurant in Pimlico. Seasonally fresh dishes (currently partridge and pheasant), combined with old classics, such as 9 snails, served in their shells, swimming in parsley garlic butter, make for a fantastic evening of comfort food. Romantically dark and atmospherically buzzy, the relaxed and 'cramped' dining room is perfect for lovers' exchange of secrets, or old friends' raucous remembrances. Very acceptable, and reasonable priced, house wine (red and white) served by the magnum, helps to loosen tongues and the delicious deserts (especially the banana in caramel with ice cream) sweeten the deal. A great night and, these days, £75 a head, for 3 courses, in this environment, for 4hrs of conversation and laughter, with good country food...seems like a bargain!

I travelled especially to this restraunt to see what it offers . Having a day out from Newcastle Upon Tyne I loved everything about it. I follow you on Facebook as I have a restraunt too and the vibe is quite similar .. Duck with lime was sublime !

Country french honest food! Cosy corners for a romantic dinner or meeting friends. Best onion soup I’ve ever tried!
