Just to remind everyone that, La Taberna will be closing at 4pm on Sundays due to it being the winter season. Thank you for everyone that supported us during the christmas season, but now its time for us to relax with a hot chocolate and a blanket :)

The Spanish Christmas is not over yet!
Tonight is La noche the los reyes magos, in Spain we receive tomorrow morning presents from the 3 Wise Men (if you have been good during the previous year :) ) and everybody go to see the parades tonight and eat the traditional Roscon de Reyes. Enjoy your night :) We'll probably have a special visit tonight in the restaurant because I've been a good girl hahaha

We visited here tonight for an anniversary meal. As always the food service and atmosphere were outstanding.

This is a perfect restaurant for a snack and a glass of wine or a meal.

Very friendly staff, beautiful surroundings & amazing food, better tapas than I’ve had in Spain!

This restaurant has become one of my favourites! The food is consistently of a high standard and plentiful!

The staff are so nice and accommodating! Will definitely be back!

This has to be the stand out place to eat in Maidstone, superb setting and the food was faultless , no wonder there is a wait for a table on a Friday and Saturday.

Really enjoy going to La Taberna. Food is excellent. 5 of us pre ordered chicken and seafood paella this time and it was delicious with plenty for everyone. The tapas are very good and their main courses are all excellent. Service is pleasant and friendly. Cannot praise it enough.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Stunning location, friendly staff and amazing food. A real hidden gem

Lovely family run restaurant. Very friendly and informative staff. A group having a Spanish lesson at one end of the restaurant added to the atmosphere. The food was superb. We had tapas but would like to try Paella. The Paella needs an hour to cook or pre order because it's all made fresh.

I visited with a friend and had a lovely meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel as if nothing was too much trouble. And they catered brilliantly for my vegan diet. We had the vegetarian paella and it was delicious. We will definitely return. 😃

I love this place. The family running it are amazing, so sweet and friendly. The food is great. Just had another lovely meal there today.

Have been visiting and enjoying this restaurant, whenever I’m in the country, since it opened at the previous location (Union Street) and I love it even more at its new spot in the old church. My dad is Spanish so I know about real tapas... and La Taberna serves delicious, authentic dishes. The owners/staff are really lovely and I enjoy practising my Spanish with them whenever my dad and I visit. Lovely place... I fully recommend it! :)

We popped in for a welcome break from shopping just round the corner in Fremlins Way - next time we will go during the evening.

A lovely evening gorgeous building and a lovely atmosphere , very attentive staff who were very friendly and helpful. The food was traditional Spanish tapas tasted lovely and was well priced . A great find and will be back very soon x

The staff were very attentive and service was good.

The food was enjoyable but not especially outstanding. I had the potatoes - very tasty, calamari rings - freshly and beautifully cooked but thought the meatballs were rather bland although the tomato sauce was good.

The rest of the party had a variety of dishes which they all enjoyed.

Lovely setting and atmosphere. Service was excellent and the food was lovely.... though friends said the rice in their paella was undercooked. Lovely wine too, all very reasonably priced.... the tapas squid dish was Devine!!

After trying to book a table for nearly a month we're finally successful last night. Such a beautiful location, staff was very attentive and overall food was good. It migh have been my own fault for anticipating this dinner so much as I heard such great reviews of this restaurant, but I felt they messed up with the Paella, as it was really salty, the croquetes entree were also very bland I thought, but desserts were fantastic.Dinner was not expensive and i loved the Spanish beer. All in all iw was a good dinner. Cheers.
