After 8 years in Clitheroe, La Vespa Italian Restaurant is closed. We want to warmly thank all the people of Clitheroe and all the wonderful customers who have supported us for all these years, the same thank you is for all people who collaborated in our business during these years. The last period, unfortunately, caused by the high costs and the slowdown of the business, did not give us the opportunity to continue. Many thanks again for all people who have supported us for 8 long years, we will miss you very much!

friendly staff,big party for family meal 16 adults plus 6 young kids ,well looked after all afternoon ,the food was good as well

We absolutely loved it! Went for my daughters birthday meal last night, for the first time. First class service, food and so reasonable . Can't wait to return

Visited with my friends yesterday. Lovely ambience and the staff all made us really welcome. We felt very spoiled! The food was tasty and delicious and also the wine! Thank you to the wonderful chef Donato - for making me a beautiful vegan meal - garlic mushrooms and garden vegetable risotto! Will definitely eat here again.

This is by far and away the best Italian restaurant in the area, the food is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

This has always been our favourite place to eat! Came tonight with our 1 year old and the staff were so welcoming and kept him entertained. There was no need for my big bag of toys. We had a lovely time. Food came quick and was as delicious as always! Will be back again soon!

The steak here is beautiful,defo recommend it,was with the family and every one enjoyed it,Will Defoe became coming back for more

Superb. Recommended to me last week. The chef went above and beyond to give us Vegan meals not shown on his menu. Fantastic food. Great staff. Will be our new regular restaurant. Many thanks for a lovely meal. See you again soon !!

Meal was fantastic and the staff, well what can I say friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Hi Cataldo and Donato sorry if I've spelt your names wrong but you made mine and Anne McBrides night. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent value for money - huge portions and inc a bottle of house wine for £32.90 for 2.

Had the Christmas set meal for work xmas party on Friday, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was wonderful and staff couldn't help more. Loved it, great place to eat with excellent choice.

By far the best Italian restaurant in the area. All staff are really welcoming, attentive to your every need and the food is amazing too. All members of the family are made a fuss off especially the little ones, nothings too much trouble for them. Without a doubt gets 5 stars from me and my family. Highly recommend the take away service too with delivery within the local area. Can’t wait to return

For you italians who cant speak english no problem because the staff are fully italian and speak both italian and english.

We went as a party of 9, 8 of us were delayed due to taxis not turning up. (May have been 1 star if we'd have been on time!).



Felt like an inconvenience to staff, difficult to attract attention to order drinks from the table.



Starters good enough, as we expected from the good reputation that caused us to book.



Main course:



Served to 8 of 9 of our party. One order incorrect.



5 of 8 waiting for vegetables for over 10 mins from main course. Most eventually started and then finished main course before vegetables even arrived.



Corrected order arrived. Chicken, clearly attempted to cook in microwave. Served undercooked, sent back.



Further chicken arrived, still waiting for vegetables for other guests.



No concept from staff as to why this wasn't acceptable.



Very poor service, food tasty but lukewarm at best.



Shame. We like local restaurants but not a good experience tonight!

Me and my husband went for a meal here for our 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday 3rd July, the service was awful very unfriendly unwelcoming. Waiter had a face like a slapped arse. My main meal was burnt. Definitely won't be returning
