About Labrador Welfare
The Official Labrador Welfare Page
We are a small SHEFFIELD ( UK ) based charity that is tasked with the re-homing of Labrador Retrievers
Labrador Welfare Description
Labrador Welfare is entirely run by a small band of unpaid, but VERY dedicated volunteers.
Unlike other larger charities we DO NOT have any paid staff.
Please be patient when you make an enquiry as we can be quite busy.
When a dog is handed over to us for adoption it is taken in to Boarding Kennels
This is to make life easier for those handing dogs over to us, and also the potential adopters who can meet the dog chosen for them without any pressure. We are also able to assess the dogs whilst they are in kennels, thus helping us to match dogs with their new owners.
We only invite people to meet the dog they have been matched up with.
Please note visits to the kennels are by appointment only!
When matching dogs to new owners we take into consideration the dog’s previous. experience: used to children, cats, other animals etc. and match it as closely as possible with it’s new owner.
Note: Whilst we are grateful for any interest that you may show in our cause, if you wish to re-home a dog, and you do not live in one of the areas mentioned here, we feel that it is best if you contact your local Labrador re homing organisation. We can provide you with the contact information for the relevant organisation.

Late Night Post We are hearing the late night winds - keep an eye on your fences
We are needing another £55 to get to our halfway goal towards Chester’s Vet bill - thank you everyone 💛💛💛
We just wanted to show you the two elderly Labradors that have access to our Doggy Buggy- which has allowed them to go on longer walks with their younger “fur siblings” and families
💛 Donations Required 💛
Chester, one of our foster dogs has developed a nasty ear problem and needs to have swabbing of both ears for culture & sensitivity, blood testing , sedation, and flushing of both ears whilst under anaesthetic, & proposed treatment . The estimate for this will be nearly £500. We wonder if any of our marvellous supporters would be willing to make a donation towards the cost to help us with this Vet Bill
Donations can be made by Bacs to Labrador Welfa...re @ sort code 54-41-34 account no 01003976 With reference “ Chester “

Enjoy your weekend
wouldn't have my George if wasn't for labrador welfare .... he's such a good loyal dog ... xx
We have nothing but praise for Labrador Welfare, from the initial contact to bringing home our adorable Holly, the knowledge, expertise & support from June and the team has been brilliant. It is only two weeks since we brought Holly home, but for anyone considering adopting a Labrador we would recommend this small but well run charity.
We got Meg last Sunday, she's really settled in we couldn't have asked for a more settled Labrador. She can be a bit pulling on her lead but we are working on that, and over the last week she has slowly got better. I would like to give the team at Labrador Welfare a big THANK YOU
We brought Bonnie home on Saturday & she’s settled in lovely. Thank you so much to Labrador Welfare for all your help, it’s amazing what you all do. We feel very grateful & extremely happy to have beautiful Bonnie in our life
We adopted Ruby in 2005 and lost her in January 2016. We contacted Lab Welfare in November 2016 and adopted Cilla that month. Couldn't be happier and what a wonderful organisation.
My beautiful lab Roly was from here and gave us so many years of happiness.... good luck x
Labrador Welfare are a small but perfectly formed breed-specific charity who do a marvellous job of re-homing labradors, who through no fault of their own, are looking for a new place to call their own. As long-standing labrador lovers looking for a canine companion to complete our lives we turned to Lab Welfare and were not disappointed in the terrific guidance and support they gave us when we were considering adoption. Their knowledge of the breed and the dogs in their care is second to none and this was quite apparent when we went to visit our 'chosen one' at his temporary home in kennels. The dogs are all extremely well cared for by marvellous staff and regularly walked by Lab Welfare volunteer walkers at the kennels and all of them are more than happy to answer any questions potential adopters may have. An innate ability to match the right dog to the right people is a given in our experience with Lab Welfare and has resulted in us welcoming a fantastic 9-year old (who we're convinced is a 4-year old in disguise!) into our little world. We have nothing but good things to say about Labrador Welfare and would encourage anyone considering adopting a labrador to get in touch with them. We wouldn't go anywhere else ... :)
I hope our Bailey is doing ok nearly a year soon x
