Staff helped me when a giant haired tory voter stole my drink...
Quite possibly one of the most underrated pubs in Newcastle. Not only do they have a great selection of drinks but the selection of finger food I've had was very good too. Always a nice atmosphere.
Probably the best pub in the world, and I drink real beer not carlsberg
One of the best real ale pubs in NEWCASTLE great choice of ales, decent lagers and single malts .always busy and very nice staff
One of the best city ale houses I've ever been in. All the staff have an excellent knowledge about their real ales, food is also excellent & the whole atmosphere of the bar is brill. Just a shame we only get to visit a couple of times a year.
Love this place...& the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc 😊
It's a great bar. Reminds me of a Dublin pub. One where folk tip up after work for a couple and leave much later than planned, forgetting the suit jacket, lanyard flapping in the wind whilst drunkenly scoffing fish n chips and ruining another tie. That 'till 2 am with great beer at a reasonable price for a city centre. What's not to like?
Great pub. One of the best in town. Eclectic mix of people and always has a good friendly vibe. Good selection of beers but I only drink lager which in my opinion is served perfectly! Food is excellent and good value for money. :)
Excellent choice of beers, lovely service especially as bar maid put and squeezed four limes in the vodka and soda.....with lime! Great atmosphere feels very friendly and comfy - will be back!
Best pub on the planet, always was back in the Adelphi days too.
Great beer choice, top nibbles, great service and top crack.
Best bar in Newcastle always love coming here. Great staff, great beer, great pub!
...always visit my favourite pub when I'm over in England and the variety of ales is first class as is the food the service the friendly atmosphere and the location ! Magnifico !
We always go to lady grey when we have our catch up in Newcastle on a Saturday now and again x we always sit in same place it's a lovley cosy little pub x processco is reasonable prised aswel x
Popped in for a couple of drinks , lovely cosy pub will definitely be back !
Great service, great selection and awesome atmosphere! Would recommend to anyone who wants a really chilled experience. Bar is quite small and popular so if its a bit full id say dont miss it entirely, pop back another day. Food options are nice and the Pasties on the bar are UNREAL. Solid bar all around.
Well I'm only annoyed cos my king prawn squirted all over my two tone suit when I cut the head off so, pants and jacket at cleaners tomorrow. Will be really pissed off if the greasy orange sauce don't come out!
Nice pub but at £7.20 for a large gin and tonic it's a bit pricey, and to the stroppy manager who I queried the price with..... it not my problem that one of your tills stopped working.
Really disappointed in our last three Sunday visits here. It used to be our go to place for Sunday lunch, but the last twice food hasn’t been available as the chef had only just started preparing food at 12:00, and today the reason given is the pub has no hot water. I don’t think we’ll be going back for food in future, which is a shame as it used to be so good Gave it a last chance today, Monday 15/01/18, ordered sandwiches and ordered a drink to go with it. Let down again, no bread this time!! Won’t be going back for food, and maybe not at all. Shame, this used to be a great bar for food. Whoever runs the kitchen is letting it down badly.
Hate to say it but disappointing Sunday lunch three times in a row. Having butternut squash as an alternative to meat for a vegetarian dinner is not great-it's just another vegetable in a whole plate of vegetables.
