Stopped by while visiting London. Great place that is open late. Delicious!

User

My favorite restaurant in London. Delicious curries at great prices.

User

I don't come here often enough! Don't expect fine dining but the food is amazing and well priced. The shop next door has a big range of alcoholic drinks (Lahore does not sell alcohol) and there is loads of room, great for large groups. It does get pretty loud in there! I highly recommend the lamb chops.

User

Best Kebab Restaurant in East London by far! Always busy (good sign in a restaurant) and always happy returning customers. The Lamb Chops are out of this world! So glad a colleague took me here one night whilst we were at work many years ago now. Can’t thank him enough for the recommendation. Just need to find an excuse to go all the way back to East London now to taste these delights again! Easily a 5

Best Indian in east London.

By a country mile.

If you want decor and "ambiance", go elsewhere. If you create your own environment and want a brilliant meal with friends, go here.

Great food, quick and reliable service.

3rd visit (it's become a bit of an institution) and will be back again.

User

Been going here with my family for sunday dinners ever since I was a child and whilst the place has changed over the years, the food and service remain outstanding for what the place is.

If you haven't been, go today. Make sure you order lots of kebabs and keema naans.

User

Always a pleasure to eat in this place staff always busy but keep coming back to make sure we are OK. ....enjoy yourselves guys

User

Absolutely incredible food in a pretty walkable neighborhood. Not pricey at all.

User

A fantastic restaurant close to the city. Regularly visit during lunchtimes and evenings. The food is superb, always freshly cooked and with so much flavour. The lamb chops are out of this world and so succulent! A very buzzing atmosphere and great to see the kitchen area which runs like clockwork. Without a doubt one of the best curry houses in London with so much to choose from on the menu. Cannot recommend enough!

This place serves amazing food! But only 2 problems:

1. Table is sticky not cleaned properly.

2. They charged me £2.75 for a glass bottle water which I didn't ask for? I know it's only £2.75 but that is not a nice way to do business.

User

It's a busy place with great atmosphere. Good place to hang out with your mates. Food is fabulously tastey and not expensive. You have to take your own alcoholic drinks which you can buy from the off-licence next door. They are happy to provide glasses. You go there for the food and the atmosphere. It's fast turnover with plenty of seating capacity. Will go there again with office mates.

If you are looking for a Michelin Star restaurant, with sterile surroundings, then this is the wrong place for you. If, however, you want fantastic tasting food, in a busy environment, then you would be a fool to walk past the door. Yes, the tables could do with a wipe down but considering the footfall, the staff would have to be superhuman. The dishes we had came at the same time, were excellent, hot & the best tasting curry I had had in years. When we left, there was a queue...at 6pm. Most restaurants would be envious of that level of custom. One niggle was the habit of staff of placing bottles of sparkling water on the tables, without it being requested. We were advised to leave it, once the screw top seal was broken, then you paid dearly. Tap water is available for free!!

User

I haven't been for a while but it is still as good as ever. No queue despite being Saturday evening. Ok-ish complementary salad & raiti. Ordered Chicken Tikka and Lamb chops starters which were delicious and tender.

We had weekend special mains, Lamb Pilau and Chicken Haleem which was something neither of us had ever had before and was really tasty and different.

The service can be a bit and miss so I understand some of the more negative reviews but was good last night. A Friday night can be very busy and chaotic.

Being BYO (off licence next door) it is incredibly good value. £31 for 2.

Would recommend a drink in the "Good Samaritan" pub on route from Whitechapel Station.

User

Delicious food - chops to die for - although garlic naan could have less butter and more garlic -personal preference of course

User

Very disappointed. Average typical curry dishes- full of oil and same sauce! Wouldn’t be coming back.

User

A bit over rated food but friendly helpful staff who try their utmost

User

Bad service bad food. Avoid unless you're super drunk and are planning on dropping all your clothes off at the dry cleaners the next day regardless.

This was our little gem for a nice Asian food, but after last dinner here, we are not going to go back ever!.

Food was still good and tasty, but the service was horrible!!!

1. - table (and all other tables around) were dirty and sticky as well as menu's on the tables - looked like nobody cleaned it for ages.

2. - 'waiter', who was looking after his designated area (and unfortunately we were sitting there) was the most ignorant, completely uninterested and with zero customer service! We had to actually ask him to order our food and while taking our order he was talking with his colleagues (I was surprised he got our order right!). Food came to our table considerably quick, but we were served like pigs, just throwing plates on the table with no words. It felt like we are homeless people who are not paying for their food and have no rights!

3. We asked for our bill twice and both times 'waiters' just nod their heads, but I don't think actually understood what they were asked for. Finally, we got annoyed and started putting our jackets on - 'waiters' were standing playing their phones with no reaction. We could have easily left without paying, because it seemed nobody cares (especially not our 'waiter'), but I believe in karma! I went to another more reasonably looking man and said that we were waiting for bill and that we could easily just left with such a slow service - he thanked for not doing that and told our 'waiter' to take payment. I was paying with card and while he was waiting for card machine to process the payment, stood in front of me like a vagabond, with no respect what so ever not only as for a customer, nor as for a woman!!! Not sure what country he came from, but it's time for the owner to consider that they are in UK and customer service here is top priority for business!!!

And it looked like we were not only ones ignored, as the other couple was waiting for their bill for ages as well and another man, was waiting to give his order even longer than us and just left before food arrived as he looked disgusted and humiliated by the staff.

We were having our dinner on the 2nd Jan 2017, around 7-8 pm, Table AB5.

User

I went to eat here for the first and last time.

The customer service was a disgrace

The tables were filthy , when I askef for it to ve cleaned the chap was cleaning it and throwing all the dirt on my cloths what the hell? The waiter stank of BO;

When the food arrived it kind of took them 2 minits after me givibg the order a quick earm up in tge microwave I guess, the salad was as if it had veen crushed.

The cooking area was filthy with veru dirty floir tiles.

Overall a disgusting place, I think the health authorities need to visit such a place.

I wonder where the hell they get the 4 star.
