I refreshed the art I have for sale in The Rock of Gibraltar pub yesterday, including this painting I created of a kingfisher. It was painted especially for the walls of this canal side pub, and from the position on the wall it can almost catch fish!
Cards and prints are also available to buy.

Artfest yesterday was so much fun! The gallery had a fantastic stand, it really showcased our artists to a tremendous footfall of people. It was great too, sharing the marquee with so many talented people, and so many of them friends!
What a wonderful day. Bring on next year!

With Father's day around the corner, these Dad slates sold well at the weekend. So well that I am having to quickly paint to replace them, ready for Artfest this Sunday.
I do hope you can make it along to the event, it's part of the Banbury and District show, this Sunday, June 9th, Spiceball park, Banbury.

The sunshine hitting my stand, late afternoon on Saturday, was really beautiful. Here is to the summer.

This short video is a close up of the painting, that I have hanging in Church Lane Gallery this month. Go in and take a closer look, it is hard to see the texture without seeing in person.

I've been a busy bee this Bank Holiday weekend; cutting, sanding, painting and sealing slate. Like these three cute little fellows, ready for this Saturday's Summer Fayre at The Kidlington Centre.
I hope to see you all there!

Thanks to all your votes, I only went and won! Thank you everyone who voted.

This Saturday I will be attending The Kidlington Centre Summer Fayre, and selling my wares. It is the first time I will have ever had an art stand in Kidlington, the place I grew up in, so please make sure that you come along!

I just took my latest cow painting, the one entered in Banbury Artist of the Year, to meet the cows that were my models. They vote for their pic to win! I also met the farmer who owns them, plus gave them each some apple, as a thank you.
If you want to enter and haven't yet, please check the comments below for a link.

This small slice of wood has been hanging around my house since last year, when I found it nearby where I walk the dog. I first needed to season it, and decide what I wanted to do on it. I decided a wave. It also rocks when stood on its side (check out my latest video).

I am in Church Lane Gallery today from 12:30-3. Come and visit all the beautiful pieces of art we have to offer as Oxfordshire Artweeks artists. I promise to be looking forward, unlike me here in this dorky photo, stood by my two wooden succulents, and the impressive original art of Ella art - original art by Ella Hendy.

What a perfect day to share this picture, that I created for a friend. Combines his two loves, plus who should really rule the 7 kingdoms. What will he do now with no Jeremykyleshow or Game of Thrones?
Pen & watercolour. Plus a fair few hours laughing and drawing to this!

Please like my photo, to give me a chance of winning Banbury Artist of the Year!
These cows are from a field just 3 mins from my house. They're always so inquisitive, it would be rude not to paint them!

Sometimes when you have been painting at night, the colours can be surprising when the sunshine comes in the morning. Or in this case, the beautiful evening sun.
I know which colours I am mixing with the paint, but the contrast that sunlight emphasizes can be wonderful. Of course, sometimes not so much, too! Luckily, I think this piece of slate art is going ok.
Work in progress.

A mixed media painting, inspired by a trip down the Oxford canal, on a kayak.

Finding a bit of wood in the garden I had forgotten about, made me drop the project I was doing and begin sanding. The weather erosion on this is great! So I am being extra careful making sure to keep this natural as much as possible.
