A busy midweek open on the top lake this week with Burt Baits top rod Rob Dean taking top slot, drawn down in the bay in shallow water Rob fished worm for silvers and managed four put back carp for 40lb, had worst days....#drennan#spottedfin

First round of the spring/summer on the bottom lake, Roy Stanley managed 50lb from a peg he really didn’t fancy, a tuff match for most a steady run of weather is needed level out the fishing, roll on summer #drennan#spottedfin#boxcleaning

Weights are on the up as we see the clocks change to British summertime, Roy Stanley romped home with a fractured foot from peg 22, next we see the start of the spring/summer league and before that we will be hosting the final of Paul Dunn’s winter/spring league, good luck to all the finalists tomorrow I’m hoping Bobby Swayne gives em all a fishing lesson tomorrow, good luck lads, cafe open at 7.30 tomorrow and it’s only you lot so plenty of room, bed early, who will be this year’s King? #drennan#spottedfin

Starting next week will be starting a spring/summer league on the bottom lake and with the backing this #drennan#spottedfin#boxcleaning it’s going to be a great event only looking for 16 anglers to take part in this friendly little league, if you fancy it let me know 👍

Sorry for the delay in posting this one chaps as we hosted the last qualifier before this coming Sunday’s final on the bottom lake, Colin Kavangh secured the win from peg 3 and even caught this fine carp as the banter rippled around the bank as it does every week #toplads ,twelve anglers in the final next week , but there are a few anglers that didn’t cut the mustard this year and my GOD they are gonna GET IT, all those in the final say 👁

Well he only duunit again that Johnny Penn, and wot a lovely set of gnashers all paid for out of his winnings, 😂😂😂another great result John 👍

Colin Kavanagh romped home towards the spring league grand final on the bottom lake yesterday beating all the competition as well as the wind rain ice and sleet, it’s the last qualifier next week and only three more places left so Danny Fells, Peter Jordan, Frank Haskett, Bobby Swayne and a few more are you going to make it?? lol good luck next week chaps

Windy.... errr just a lot, however it fished well considering the circumstances and Pinky Geoff Penny has done the biz yet again with a short pole line and pellet, but this wouldn’t have been a victory if it wasn’t for a carp in the final minutes of the match pushing Chris Vandervleit into second spot, great match terrible conditions #drennan#spottedfin

Guru ace Bill Reynolds had a proper days fishing on peg 39, 65lb of mainly skimmers and bream with two smaller carp, Bill has fished two lines not to long and it was his margin line that come good, this win is for uncle Dave Reynolds who has recently passed away.... RIP Dave Reynolds Lake John will miss you pal x.... O yeah and one angler today drew his peg and then had to go all the way back home because he forgot his seat box, who would do that Darren Marder 😂😂😂😂 , open match Saturday on the bottom lake folks and we are getting a few names on the list now so should be a good match,

This one of the friendliest fisheries around, coupled with fantastic fishing..What more can you ask-:)

The best mixed fishery in the country bar none. Good cafe, car park, friendly owners and then there's the fishing. Huge carp, mega shoals of bream and some big tench, roach, rudd and perch. Get involved!

Quality place !! Owner can be a bit wee a bit woo sometimes with hes evil sidekick Norm !! 😂If uve not been over their the fishing is fantastic 🎣

Proper fishing run by a great couple pleasure to be there

Probably one of the best silver fish fisheries in the country. This fishery has everything you want including specimen carp. Would recommend it to anyone

One of my favorite venues definetly in the top 3 Colin Bartlett brilliant bloke will tell you the best way to to fish your peg

Lovely, clean, well run fishery. Colin and Karen Bartlett are the nicest people and Colin will always be ready to advise you how to get the best out of your swim. Lovely carp and silvers in a gorgeous setting. What's not to like?

I had the honour of taking my son Jason to fish and practice for the drenan knockout cup. To say I enjoyed the two visits is a understatement, we have fished many venues nation wide never in my forty years fishing have I been more impressed great Venus along with Colin the manager I cannot fault anything.

Great Lake, great fishing, great hosts, Colin and Karen, recommend to any angler

Fish are in excellent condition. Fishery owners care about the fishery, and very knowledgeable.

First time at this fantastic fishery. I will be back.
