More adult orientated than some other Haven sites in my opinion. The on site bar/lounge is a little stark and not as cosy as I would have liked and the show bar is definitely in need of renovation. Would be good for a prospective buyer/owner as the private bar/lodge looks good and the on site lake is very nice.

Probably the best site we have stayed on and we've done a fair few cheap sun newspaper deals around the country!! Huge place with great facilities including boating lake and golf course! There is no beach though as the coast here seems to be marsh and mud flats! Good food options on site and lovely village of cartmel a 10 minute drive with great pubs and quite lively.

Great place. Very clean and tidy caravan. Great onsite amenities with local shop. Launderette 2 food outlets . It has a swimming pool with various activities for children. There are plenty to do during the day for the kids and adults. The entertainment was not great but the kids were happy enough. There is an arcade with a few rides for the kids enjoy.

Nice site, though not as many facilities as other Haven sites. The aerial adventure is very small, almost like a practice course, but still had a high cost. The pool area is smaller too. Boating lake is one of the better facilities. Stayed in one of the newer caravans which was decent. I chose this mainly because despite a no smoking policy, my experience has been the standard older vans all tend to smell of tobacco smoke. On site restaurant is better than others, though expensive. Same goes for the on site chippy. An off site one, a mile up the road is better and about 40% cheaper. Despite the apparent location, there isn't a beach on, or close to, the site. Security was not as tight as other sites, where I always had to show a pass to gain entry.

Shambles! It has the potential to be a nice site but it just isn't. We have used haven a lot as we have young kids and they're all great apart from this one. The caravan is great don't get me wrong. The restaurant on site was bad. The curry was good but the burger was hardly cooked. I waited 50 minutes for two meals in the takeaway chipshop on site. We haven't been in the evening entertainment at all as it is always so packed! We haven't been swimming as the pool is either closed or full. We have spent 80% of the time off site which is a shame as it has cost a bomb and we could have went elsewhere if we only wanted a roof over our heads. You pay through the nose with haven for the added activities and entertainment but sadly this park lacks that.

Handy for the Lakes. Nice site with lots to do. We stayed as a tourer in a trailer tent. Only issue we encountered was being overcharged for 2 random items in the mini-mart so check your receipts. No Wi-Fi across the site only around the bar area.

Had a brilliant week. Loads to see and do. We especially enjoyed the swimming and the go-karts. The caravan was really nice and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

1st time camping. Took 2 kids and the dog. Had a great time and learned some valuable lessons, take two pillows next time and invest in a roof box for the car.

Down points- food was cold and dry from the mash and barrel. The kids play areas around the park need a few more things, a slide wouldn't go a miss (the play area by the main complex was good but crouded).

The wooded area by the camp site was great, the kids loved it. They spent about an hour with some other kids they joined up with tracking a monster that had left claw marks on a tree.

The camping facilities were well looked after. On day 1 some kids had been silly with wet toilet roll and by day 2 you could almost eat your dinner of the floor.

Kids also loved the lake and we went out on a 4 man peddle boat. The staff were really helpful when we wanted to swap over half way to take turns looking after the dog.

Check in was good. The man running the touring check in walked us to our pitch and checked us in despite us being an hour early.
