Merry Christmas to everyone on this beautiful frosty morning a few photos from this morning what a great way to wake up. To all our wonderful guests that have stayed in Lily Lake Yurt, Bluebell Yurt and the Hideaway Pod we are happy to announce there will be adding a brand new lodge from the 1st of April it will sleep 4 people 2 king size beds 2 bathrooms large lounge diner and huge fully equipped kitchen and of course a large private hot tub and private garden. This place is amazing - beautiful Mongolian Yurt to sleep and chill in, with one of the most comfort bed I've every slept in. Amazing huge bathroom and quirky kitchen in the next door cabin with everything we needed. Let's not forget the fabulous huge hot tub and private gardens. I can hearty recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool getaway with a touch of luxury.

Spent a very enjoyable long weekend here in the Hideaway Pod. More than I expected in the way of comfort and attention to detail. The bed is so comfy, one of the best I've stayed in. Everything you need is provided from a camping stove, kettle & water to torches, umbrella (thankfully wasn't needed) bbq, fire pit, chairs etc.

Beautiful surroundings with lots of lovely nature around, loved seeing the ducks, chickens & geese every morning especially the little Canadian goslings.

My partner fished and I relaxed which was just what we booked it for.

I would like to see some kind of privacy fencing either side of the pod as when people / fishermen were walking round the lake I did feel a bit gawped at so feel this would help. And also the stones are quite slippery, had a bad tumble but I think this is already being addressed.

Already looking to try out one of the Yurts next year. Gary & Sue are very friendly approachable hosts and have a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended

Second time back and trying out the new Lilly lake yurt. Altough cold weather this time I year the yurt kept us warm and cosy. So well decorated so always someting new to spot thanks to sues amazing eye for detail. The yurt is be beutifally decorated and the plan carved wood is stunning. Being right next to the lake in its own private fenced area made it all more sucluded and speacil. The kitchen area out side is ideal to cook a lovley meal. And the hot tub added that touch of luxury to. Sue, Gary and lofty Can not do enough for u and are very attentive host. Deffently coming back a gain soon.

The self catering aspect of the accommodation gives you the flexibility to take or make your own food or to order in (which is what we did!). My husband and I came here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary & spend some well needed quality time together. We were greeted by wonderful hosts who made sure we wanted for nothing & comfortable throughout our stay. The yurt and surrounding area is simply stunning. Exceptionally clean with amazing attention to detail. We stayed for two nights & I was still spotting new ornaments or pieces of furniture right up to the end! Sue's creativity has inspired me to put a little more love & imagination into my own garden. The hot tub is just amazing. By day so tranquil overlooking the lake, by night so romantic sipping champagne under the stars. Such a truly magical relaxing place to unwind ( or to spend quality time without the kids) surrounded by beauty. This is not 5 star. It's five star plus! Will be booking up this little gem again soon! Xx

The yurt is delightful and so much thought and effort has gone into its presentation and the comfort of guests - it is very well equipped too! The welcome of the hosts was incredibly friendly and helpful, fishing was fantastic with my other half catching a 25 year pb of a 26 lb carp! The hot tub was a lovely and most enjoyable added extra, we will definitely be returning and would very much recommend a stay here! My fiancé and I stayed in the hideaway pod for a night. It definitely wasn't long enough. Peaceful surroundings, cosy pod, he gets to fish while I relax, was the perfect one night getaway from the kids! Lofty was very friendly and helpful too. Will defo be returning �

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay. The yurt is beautiful and so well decorated in the most lovely and relaxing setting. The birthday banners and balloons were a lovely touch from Sue. We very much enjoyed chilling in the hot tub with a glass of wine and using the fab bbq! Would highly recommend!

I live not far away in Colchester. My partner and I both lead busy lives so to find somewhere so peaceful and relaxing was a refreshing surprise. This place was booked as a surprise for me as I struggle to relax but this was one of few places that relaxing wasn't a problem. On arrival it was quickly clear that a lot of thought and work has been put into this place, making you feel as comfortable and as at home as possible. The hosts could not have been more friendly or helpful if they tried.. even nice enough to offer a lift for my partner who doesn't drive! Words and pictures don't do this place justice so until you're sitting in the hot tub with a cold cider looking over the lake at the sunset for yourself you won't get the whole picture. Highly recommend!!

We wrote our review in the book at the Yurt but never got around to review here. We had a great weekend at Lakelands Yurt the night-times were so peaceful we just sat enjoyed our wine and listened to the sounds of Nature. The mornings were beautiful and we always enjoyed our visit from Dave and friends:-) The Resident goose! If you want to get away from the modern world relax in the tub outside enjoy nature. We turned off our phones and lived a great simple life for the weekend. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs a break and relaxation.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Bluebell Yurt while friends were staying there. It was a fabulous experience the eye to detail is superb, the little personal touches that speak volumes are so lovely. The owners Sue and Gary are very nice, genuine people who are happy to go that extra mile to ensure that their guests are happy. It is a special place to be whether in lovely sunshine or I should think very cosy in the marvellous hot tub overlooking the lake on a frosty evening.

I don't think you'd find anywhere more relaxing we can't wait to come back and do it again thank you

Had an absolutely amazing couple of nights here this week. It's a great, secluded little retreat and the hot tub just adds to the relaxation. Everyone is really friendly but they give you your space to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. With the sunny weather, it was the perfect surprise mini break from my partner.

Amazing cosy yurt with great views of the lake. A great package was done for my partners birthday and sue, Gary and lofty are so friendly. Dave the resident goose and his friends were a joy to wake to in the morning. All round a relaxing few days away.

Had an absolutely amazing couple of nights here this week. It's a great, secluded little retreat and the hot tub just adds to the relaxation. Everyone is really friendly but they give you your space to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. With the sunny weather, it was the perfect surprise mini break from my partner.

Amazing cosy yurt with great views of the lake. A great package was done for my partners birthday and sue, Gary and lofty are so friendly. Dave the resident goose and his friends were a joy to wake to in the morning. All round a relaxing few days away.

A little gem! Bluebell yurt is beautifully decorated and is so relaxing.. The view of the lakes is wonderful and being surrounded by lots of wildlife is fantastic.. Enjoyed the visits from Dave the goose and his friends, and the hot tub was an added bonus, especially in the evening when all the lights are twinkling!! Sue and Gary are great and friendly... We shall be going back..
