Our Winter deals start on 1st November through to February 28th: MIDWEEK SPECIALS - 3 nights for the price of 2 arriving on a Monday or Tuesday or WEEKLY - 7 nights for the price of 6 arriving any day. Ideal for those of you who love the peace and quiet but are only a short drive away from York Christmas Markets - St Nicholas Fair which starts on 15th November until 23rd December.

Lovely morning as I had a walk with pup today. Again, gorgeous skies but is this the calm before the storm that all weather channels seem to say we are going to get. Hopefully as usual they may have got it wrong.

What a fantastic morning. Out and about at 6:45am, mist on the lake and frost on the fields. Beautiful.

Sue and Malcolm have sent us this photo. It shows just how low over the Park they were. Brilliant.

As you can see we had an early visitor this morning. We honestly thought they were going to land either on our roof or in the carpark. I've never seen one so low and never over the Park, absolutely fabulous to see. The burners are so loud but they look so peaceful. I must admit, I personally would not have the nerve to go up in one.

These photos were provided by a friend of the lake, Carole. As you can see the anglers look happy and relaxed, the heron is stretching his wings after a snooze and our watcher of the lake, standing proud on the hilltop.

Absolutely love these unusual hanging baskets. Rose has been extremely busy with her own garden but regularly comes down to sort me out with mine. I nurtured a plant for weeks, watering it in all the hot weather. Rose came down to see how things were and told me it was a weed. What can I say! Learning all the time.

We spend 4 1/2 days a week here it's paradise liz and Tony are fantastic warden's even chip there dog is welcoming especially if you have treat in your pocket Richard and Rose the owners are great people if you don't like lakeside you won't like anywere the shower's and toilet areas are spotless and the grounds are immaculate we love being here

We always come once a year and have done for quite a few years. Absolutely love it. My husband does a bit of fishing and I just chill! Have been this year and trying to squeeze a long weekend in hopefully, lovely way to recharge your batteries! Thank you Elizabeth and Tony

The best place to relax and fishing �

Our little piece of heaven - cannot fault it whatsoever, hubby loves to fish there, our wardens Tony & Elizabeth always accommodating - and close to York, Pocklington, and the great Saturday Market of Beverley. Plus in a half hour your at the seaside resorts of Bridlington, and Hornsea. Could not have chosen better, to chill, we try and get there as often as possible.

Just back from a lovely weekend at Lakeside.we've been going now for 7 years and love how peaceful it is.wardens have always been helpful and polite and amenities are always clean .will be going back again in a few weeks .

Great site. Have been coming for a few years now and love it. Best kept secret in Yorkshire so keep it quiet or everyone will come �

Fished lakeside for first time yesterday what a pleasure to fish something for everybody had some quality roach n Rudd n bream brilliant day 10 out of 10 for me

Been going for quite a few years now. Hubby stays in the van as it's close to his work. I've just been for the weekend. So peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing. Luckily the weather was beautiful. Handy for York, Beverley and Pocklington. Site well looked after.

Absolutely love it here! We've been staying here on and off for the last 3 years and cannot fault it, in fact we're staying there this weekend. Lovely clean toilets/showers,fishing mainly very good and everyone friendly. Tranquil, peaceful site which has beautiful scenery, total chillout break �
