We are pleased to announce that after weeks of pain and inconvenience, our website www.lalqilarestaurants.co.uk is finally back online! We would like to thank our customers for their support and understanding during this time and once again apologise for the fact that the online reservation system was inactive. The fact that the hosting company closed down without notice meant that we had to go through a lengthy arbitration process to get it up and running again. Special Thanks goes out to Shakil Ahmed at Sarah Creations for his invaluable support in sorting this out. We have a beta version of the website online at the moment and this will be upgraded in due course. Our reservation system is now operational through our website as well as through info@lalqilarestaurants.co.uk

We appreciate your patience in this matter and would encourage you to use this page for the time being for any queries, comments and questions.

User

We keep going to this wonderful restaurant since our stay in Manchester. A great restaurant with great delicious food and service. Will definitely visit again if we are back for holidays in Manchester. 👍👍👍👍👍

User

Picked at random for a pre concert curry. Service was good, they moved us to a bigger table to give 6 of us more room. Food was great and we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive.

User

User

User

My first time back at Curry Mile for about 10 years, we picked Lal Qila and made a fantastic choice. The food was amazing and very friendly staff. We’d really recommend the ‘strawberry lassi’ on the soft drinks menu.

User

User

Fantastic Place for some amazing food and great taste as well as the great service. Very polite and respectful

User

Best Chicken Saag.

Been using the place regularly for over 25 years. Never had a bad meal.

Also I have always been treated well by the staff.

User

Always helpful, food always spot on, family friendly curry house, be advised, family friendly means if you are looking for a romantic meal with your significant other, this restaurant can be quite noisy, however, it is a great place to eat.

User

This is probably my favourite restaurant in Rusholme, but the curry mile is fast changing, so it is hard to compare them all unless you are food critic

User

I am always nervous about eating out in England ..usually massively overpriced ..Luke warm and non existent service .. well I was disappointed that my nervousness was unjustified ..we had no appointment on Mother's Day and just rocked up as they say ...really good service ...all freshly cooked starters and rich sauce main courses all lovely and hot ...Damian's lamb karahi had clearly been lovingly cooked and beautifully tender ...I had the house chicken special ..Marvin had fish Karahi ..vegetarian option .. Angela chicken karahi ... four starters ..free poppadums .. three rice ...two naan .. two chips ..one chicken nugget and chips for may may ... five pints of kings fisher ... three soft drinks ..a bottle of white win 106 quid ... very good indeed ... recommended

User

Hospitality good. Food good. Menu choices good. Prices good. All good.

User

Good food but great service, I left my phone on the table and the waiter ran after me to the carpark to give it back. Great honest staff

User

OWNERS READ THE REVIEWS ,Food was lovely, there was 5 of us on a evening out, we wasn't in the restaurant long 1 1/2 hours, we had starters meal and desserts. 2 beer's 3 bottles of wine was ordered and a bottle of water, we didn't finish the wine, so we took it home, we will not be returning although the food was lovely the staff was miserable there was no atmosphere,we was rushed for a order and choked with the food, I asked could I have one of the meals wrapped to take home, the waiter gave me a carry bag put a container on the table and just tipped the food off the plate into the container as if it was a effort for him, I put the lid on myself, I said to one of the waiters we usually come to the curry mile once a month, but he made no effort to make a conversation with us, we always went to Punjab restaurant but sadly it has closed the staff there had lovely customer service and always made you welcome, we always tipped them well £30 /£40, I can say Lal Qila didn't get a tip there loss.I've only just read all the review's nearly everyone is the same ,management need to read and answer these reviews ,sort the customer service out, retrain the staff there was enough of them,

User

Food was really nice and atmosphere but very delayed. Everytime you need something you need to find the waiter who then takes ages to get the thing you are after.

User

Went last night for a meal with my partner and was very disappointed, we are not fussy people and don't complain but the service was terrible and we were just kind of left and forgotten about whilst we watched other people come in, have their drinks, starters and main whilst we were still waiting for our main to come. Felt like they didn't want us there and when the main eventually came it was the wrong thing. Won't be returning there.

User

Staff eere friendly, food was ok not as good as I had hoped. Felt like price was quite high for the portion sizes aswell.

User

Been going lal quila for years. Over past year gone downhill with staff. Wait to long when ask for something and sometimes they forget u have asked for something. But last night was final straw. Rude staff who it must hurt to smile. And when asked to take away remaining food. Waiter said he will bring me tubs to put the food in myself. That's a new 1. Gonna find a new restaurant to spend my money at now

User

Been going for a while in the back restaurant for chicken lamb and doner kebab food been good but the price they charge is never the same and last night after eating a cockroach ran across the floor!!! Won't be going again!!!

User

have been charged £25 for 2 beers on 18/5/18 & 2 weeks ago had to pay for a extra dish we hadnt asked for so never going again had been a customer for over 12 years

User

Welcome was okay.... didnt feel the restaurant look ... looked newly opened on low budget... price expensive but quality of food is poor. No presentation, no spoons or tongs were served with the dishes so had to use eating spoons to take the food out... i would not go back again... its not worth the money... they need to change their recipes/chef... needs alot improving

User

Very disappointed ! Tend to drop in here whenever I go to a gig in or around Manchester ...which isn't very often these days ... nonetheless, I know a good and poor curry when I taste it. I ordered a Chcken Tikka Massala and the amount of chicken meat added up to about 1 maybe 2 quail-size chicken .... don't cheat the customer as it ends up in bad review like this ! Sorry Lal Qila but we will be going our separate ways in future :-(

User

Use this place all the time last night went in with 2 freinds what a joke ended up with no kebab and both my mates kebabs were dry and had no taste also the young guy had a proper attitude because I asked for my money back because I wouldn’t pay for a kebab that had 3 small pieces of meat on it he told me he would put extra salad on instead what a joke won’t be going there again food is shit

User

This restaurant is so shit, the service is so slow, the "manager" walked away half way through taking our order and served other people who walked in. I understand staffing may be an issue but don't expand if you can't afford to keep up with custom. We had to leave half way through and the "manager" was so rude!! Do not recommend to anyone, who charges £15 for cans of juice? so rude, rubbish food and service. Staff can't even speak English or understand properly

User

The worst meal ever in my life ... It's kind of a bangoli takeaway turned into a restaurant ... Still recommend to people ... If any one want to have a fucking pissed day in Manchester just eat there ... Somr Serious shit they sell

User

Simple avoid this place. Terrible food. Curry and starter was tasteless, we literally felt like vomiting in the plates.

User

Really bad service and we want food pack thy left the box on table and told us to pack our own food 😡it was annoying .....

User

One of the worst places i have ever been to, staff was completely unprofessional they need to train their staff about customer service.

I would never recommend anyone to visit this place.

The taste of food was below average

User

Not child friendly at all felt rushed and the staff are rude and not welcoming one bit . They run around and drop So many meals.Never again will I go to this place

User

Lack of customer service,Low quality food, I had a food poisonng after having meal from there. Would ot recomend anyne to visit this place.

User

I'm just inside this restaurant we ordered our food with a LAL QILA SPICIAL SEAFOOD the fish was absolutely raw they didn't cooked it properly when we said to the waiter he took that fish and and said 'do you want another fish instead or it's ok?' And nothing else. Btw this is the first time I'm here and I'll not come back. Still waiting for main food let's see what we will get, wait for more comments after main dish....

User

I was over charged by more £18 for no reason. They added extra money in the bill which is sad. Under staff. Very expensive food. Waiters looks tired and not happy. No one come to ask if you need anything else. Waiters will leave the food on table then your luck if you need anything else after that. No good. Disappointed. Not happy at all.

User

I don't really know where to start...the food was average, the welcome was okay. The waiter tried to overcharge us and blamed "our friend" who was conveniently in the bathroom claiming he asked for that amount to be charged. Our friend obviously denied when he came back..nice try. There was only three of us for a quiet dinner and yet staff was rude and unpleasant. We were also shocked at his bad treatment of homeless person outside. Our friend went to check that he was okay in the rain and cold and the waiter blamed/insulted him. I will never go back and i will invite any friend of the human race to do the same. Please love thy neighbour, and if you eat curry just don't go there. Anyone is worth better than that.

User

Been coming here for too many years my favourite restaurant but unfortunately my visit yesterday the food was shocking both myself and friend ordered same curry to totally different colours didn't taste at all like the amazing food they normally serve extremely disappointed

User

Based on previous reviews on Google I went to this restaurant on Christmas day 2017 and I am sorry to say I was very disappointed. The service was very poor and attitude of the waiter who served us was very bad. And about the quality, I was expecting far better. I ordered chicken biryani and it is more or less like , you mix chicken curry with white rice. Also the waiter tried to overcharged us. I will never recommend or go to this place again.
