The new home for music education in Lancashire. The Hub brings all musical learning opportunities into one place.

Lancashire Music Hub Description

Lancashire Music Hub brings together all opportunities for music learning in the county into one place. The Hub was established in 2013 and is made up of four key partners; Lancashire Music Service, Charanga, Lancashire Sinfonietta and More Music.

Because we believe that music has the power to inspire and change lives, the Hub wants to make musical learning available to all children and young people in the County. By increasing chances to participate in and enjoy great music, we can make music a vital and enriching part of more young people’s lives, help them to progress their talents and enhance their learning. Our stakeholders include:

LYJO will be performing at this years 125th anniversary of our Crowning of the Rose Queen Festival at Lytham Hall this Saturday.
The band will be be performing a concert of swing to pop music in big band style, including the jazz version of Bohemian Rhapsody, from 4.30pm on an outdoor stage to an audience of over 3000!

Ramsbottom Music Festival in 2019 took place on Friday the 15th & 16th March. The annual festival has been running for over 25 years. The festival is for all musical players, all ages and abilities, schools, bands and soloist. There are a panel of judges over the weekend watching all the participants, highlights included Burnley Music Service Wind Band directed by David Parkins, winners of the Greenwood Coop Ltd. Trophy and a young Samuel Bell playing at the Prize Winner's Concert attended by the Mayor of Bury.

Made in Room 6 are an electronic music collective from LGGS. They meet weekly at the school and create and perform, mostly, original music. They are performing for the first time this Sunday with the brilliant ensemble LSSO.
