The museum is dedicated to the history and memory of the Titanic and its significant impact on the people of Lancashire.
Come in and learn about the White Star Line, the Lusitania and Mauretania, Olympic and the Britannic, arguably the most beautiful ships ever made by man.
Discover how this immense ship was constructed and immerse yoursef with the key people from the Titanic legacy.
Go back in time and experience life as a passenger, through our original artefacts and interactive projections.
Allow yourself to engage with the myths and the facts surrounding the Titanic with our "Myth Busters" section.
Come and be amazed at the number of influential figures, born and raised in Lancashire, some of whom survived, some who tragically perished – Such as Wallace Henry Hartley, violinist and band leader on the Titanic who famously lead his band as the ship sank into the icy depths of the Atlantic, who was born, and is buried, here in Colne: his memorial stands further down the street.

Just found a very interesting picture in a gift of old books from one of our supporters (thanks Pete!) It shows the damage to Titanic's sister ship Olympic after she had rammed and sunk the German U-boat U-103. You can clearly see the dented hull plates and twisted stem.
UNIQUE ITEMS FOR SALE! Several extremely nice letter envelopes from extremely famous ocean liners, all bearing the on board postmark, have been donated to LTM for auction. We are offering them here first, before they go on eBay (should they not make their reserve). All monies raised will go directly to LTM. We thank everyone for their support in advance. One of the artifacts shortly going back on display at LTM is a collection of unique discharge books, from a Liverpool man who worked for the White Star Line until 1914. In the first one pay particular attention to Row one, last column and notice who wrote the whole entry and signed his name at the end! In the second one, look at the date of the voyage in row 11.......These two items will be back on show to the public in the next couple of weeks - look for them in the reception area of Bygone Times, near the large Titanic Model.
