Block Party LEGO® Workshops bring along around 30,000 pieces of Lego and a custom ramp.
Although children will be able to have some free play with the Lego our workshop host will help them with ideas on what to build, there will also be cards the children can build from (superheroes, Minecraft, Star Wars, Disney etc).... The children will be able to test out their vehicle building skills and race the finished product down our ramp, and for budding engineers there’s a tower building challenge too!

What a great afternoon we had at the Trolls tea party. My little 3 year old was a little shy at 1st but with some encouragement from staff & Poppy she soon felt comfortable & really enjoyed herself & was a little emotional when it came to a end. The event itself was a great size & not oversold like some events Iv been to. The afternoon tea was great & the set menu was great with lots of choices for my little one to choose from. Great value for the money. The garden centre it self has been well thought out for young & old. Staff where fantastic & welcoming. Thank you for providing my little girl with a Trolltastic time that we can cherish. X

Went today for a treat for our Dad for Father’s Day. Although we hadn’t booked in advance they made my Dad the Gentleman’s afternoon tea, he loved it. Food delicious. Gaby was an absolute star and talked to our little boy about all different things and nothing was too much trouble. Will be back

We went as an early Father’s Day treat yesterday and found the service of Laura and her team second to none. Polite, pleasant, professional yet making us feel as if we were the only ones in a very busy restaurant. The gentleman’s afternoon tea for one was very well received and the Brie and bacon sandwich delicious. Well done Laura an excellent advocate for the business.

We visited the greenhouse restaurant on Friday & just wanted to say what a lovely place this is. The setting is beautiful, the food is very good & the service & staff are all excellent. We will definitely be back �

Thank you so much to the staff today who hosted my little girl’s 4th birthday afternoon tea. Jessica enjoyed every moment from start to finish and I enjoyed it just as much as a parent. Every detail was attended to and the space was great for the children to play whilst the grown ups enjoyed coffee and cake. I would definitely recommend. Thank you again!

Thank you so much to Nathan and Nicolas for making my 30th Birthday such a special celebration! Nathan was the perfect waiter and was always on hand for anything we needed. The food was delicious and we had plenty, everyone commented on how lovely the food and private room was with amazing views.

On Saturday I had without fail the best day of my life, I became Mrs Brown! Nothing comes close to how I felt that day. The reason it was so special was that the Lanchester Garden Centre was our amazing venue. The co-ordination, support and care given leading up to our wedding was fantastic and made me feel that everything would run smooth. The surroundings were so picturesque and stunning and we are so happy with some of the sneak preview photos we have received. The food was absolutely beautiful and executed in such a professional but warm and happy manner by all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble to anyone (especially restaurant manager Nicolas) and they went the extra mile with the young children that were part of our party. I cannot recommend this place enough for not just a wedding venue but a very special gem of a place to spend with friends and family! Just perfect xxx

My husband & I called at the Garden Centre yesterday for the first time .We loved The Tropical village & the grounds are lovely The staff at the village were very friendly & helpful & explained everything

.We ate outside at the grill, the food was very good & cooked when you placed your order ,the staff were very friendly & making sure every thing was satisfactory .

We will be calling again.

Me, my partner and our 2 boys came today. We came to the new bbq area which is absolutely amazing!!! Lindsey and nick were so lovely; served us with a smile and were very chatty which I like! Kids Played on field where we could see them and we sat and enjoyed the sun with a nice cool drink and gorgeous food for amazing prices. I had the chicken kebab skewer with salad as did my son and we loved them. my partner had the burger and salad which he really and enjoyed and my other son had the hot dog, he never normally eats a lot but wolfed it down xxx thanks again for great food and service! Will be back soon xxxxx

Just discovered the new Mediterranean BBQ area - brilliant!! Great halloumi and veg burger with salad and a glass of Prosecco with a view to die for and they take cards! What’s not to like?!

I recently took a group of 30 ladies to the garden centre for a late meal and a visit to all the wonderful attractions at the centre. We all had a wonderful time the owner showed took us on a guided tour of his collection of exotic birds and reptiles, and the owls which were beautiful.

The restaurant was comfortable and relaxing, Francis and his staff looked after us all so well and our meals were perfect, I can’t fault anything about this place and would highly recommend it as a great destination for all ages.

I can't recommend this garden centre enough! management you have wonderful polite very helpful staff that go that extra mile for customers, I would like to say a special thank you to Gillian the gardener who not only walked around with me and my dog Lilly Rose to find dog-friendly plants but also pushed the trolley for me, and the lovely young lady whose name I can't remember that put my trollies in a safe so I could sit in the shade with Lilly she also got myself and my dog a cold drink as of course, we couldn't enter the restaurant , I can't thank you enough and will absolutely be making a return visit

I came with my daughter and mother to do the troll hunt. The staff were lovely and helpfull. The hunt for the trolls was beutifully set out going through the gardens. Was really nice touch to receive a plant pot and seeds once my daughter completed it. Will be back �

Visited on Friday with my 15 month old and 2 friends we had a lovely morning only let down was the member of staff on deli served staff members there lunches before us and we had been waiting 5 minutes or so before them we only wanted a ice cream for my son witch we ended up not bothering when another 2 staff members turned up and served.. apart from that would highly recommend

We took our 3 year old granddaughter and called into the Greenhouse restaurant. We asked if we could order anything for our granddaughter and was told there was a possibility of a cupcake we also asked for a child’s drink. We ordered a large pot of tea and 2 tea cakes. When they brought our food we were told there was no cupcakes! When we asked what there was for her he said toast?? We then got our teacakes and tea with a large glass of orange for a three year old!!! At least 15 mins later the toast arrived! Not good service at all but apart from this we looked at the menu to see a jacket potato was £7:10p our teacakes were £6:50 and a slice of toast was £2:75 !!!!!

Very expensive never to go again

We organised a baby shower here for one of my friends 2 weeks ago. We had paid £11 in advance per person for afternoon tea we then had 5 people who couldn’t attend but the extra food that had been paid for was nowhere to be seen when questioned we were advised that it had been provided but there was no extra sandwiches/ savoury options on the stands and cakes people got 2 each and 1 scone which is what you’d expect in an afternoon tea for 1 an extra £55 worth of food was not brought out.

We booked the baby shower to start from 3:30pm as we were advised we could only have the area from 3pm when a few guests requested drinks an hour into the baby shower they were advised they had stopped serving drinks and could only have water! Not great when we had guests ordering prosecco. Service was terrible we had asked for drinks which never arrived, extra drinks were on bills which hadn’t been ordered. It was a shambles.

Disappointing as we have held baby showers and events here in the past and they have been great.

But on this occasion for a group of 35 people we felt as though we were rushed out towards the end of the baby shower and everyone left with a bad impression of the restaurant. Don’t book a baby shower for 30+ guests on a Sunday as you’ll be expected to be done and out in an hour and half! Not impressed.

Visited yesterday with my elderly parents for the first and last time. I asked if my 88 year old father could order from the children’s menu as he has no stomach. After the sullen waiter checked I was told no he couldn’t but we would be able to have a smaller fish at the same price as a full one. As my father is also diabetic and needed to eat that is what we had to do. My father has had no stomach for over 18 years and this is the first time that a restaurant has been so unhelpful. Everywhere else has bent over backwards to accommodate him.

I have always loved coming to Lanchester Garden Centre. The food is lovely. However the last time I visited with my daughter (18 months old) I was shocked at the state of the toys both in the outside play hut and in the restaurant. They were so dirty I stopped my child from playing with them. I even tried to clean down a doll but it was thick with dirt. That was a real let down and has meant I haven't returned since. Real shame.
