So much happening: after 18 months of ownership, I've finally got signage for my van!

My client sent me these images of our newly finished patio in Broomhill last night:

Still not quite finished, thanks to the wet weather, but we're getting close . . .

One of the more cunning details - the fixing of the wall elements to the existing iron railings:

We've done a bit more: Fixed the wall elements in place, boarded up and painted the inside face, and part-assembled some of the pond/seat/planter units . . .

Here are the frames for some of the seating units and the pond enclosure, including the pre-formed plastic pond reservoir.

And after a few days, the back face of the surrounding wall is assembled:
Loads of new materials and new ideas going in to the construction, as you can perhaps tell. It's meant to last a long time and to stay looking good. All going to plan, so far!

And this is how the proposal evolved - The stream became a raised pond with a narrow, surrounding planting area.

This was the first proposal:
A rendered wall with horizontal slats above provides a calm and contemporary-looking backdrop for a series of planters and cushioned seaters on three sides. A sheet of water flows from slits on opposite sides of the patio and into a glass-covered pond running across the decked floor.

New Project – Watch as it develops!
On Monday (20th May) we began a new project in Broomhill, Sheffield. The project is to re-work the patio of an apartment in a Victorian 'Manor House' conversion, to produce something contemporary, attractive and functional.
