Langdale Chase Hotel

Amazing hotel. Wonderful countryside. I love it. And I will be back for sure.

Had a fantastic time . We went for Our sons Wedding day . Everything ran smoothly . The staff were brilliant . A fantastic venue for any occasion. Great views over Lake Windermere

The Langdale is large Victorian-era country house on the shore of Windermere, the hotel overflows with beauty and character. The grounds are vast and genuinely spectacular. The gardeners tirelessly tend to the gardens which are full of colour and resting places. We spent hours in the garden soaking in the serenity of Lake Windermere. The staff are friendly, rooms clean and breakfast reasonable. Our only criticism come for the room which had a very dated bathroom without a thermostatic shower, shower screen or even a mounted shower point. We also slept under the dinning area and were woken by the earliest diners at breakfast. The wallpaper was also struggling to adhere to the walls in a few places. However, we booked late and had one of the last available rooms, therefore perhaps this is an unfair criticism. Overall, an overwhelmingly brilliant experience. We shall be back, and this hotel deserves four stars.

Attended a wedding here.. beautiful building in a lovely setting on the edge of the lake. Staff were very efficient at keeping the whole day running smoothly. Bar was expensive, as is to be expected at these sort of functions.

View spectacular. Staff amazing from the bar and catering staff who cant do enough to cater to your needs to the reception staff who are there for you 24 hours in the day. Rooms are spotless and seem to be newly decorated in a style that is fitting to something you might see in television series such as Downton Abbey. Gardens are beautifully kept. All in all a fantastic place to stay. I can actually go to say I have fell in love with the place and resent having to go back to Manchester.

Our first visit to the hotel but hopefully not our last , we enjoyed our 3 night stay made most welcome by excellent reception staff,and a wonderful room with breathtaking views over Lake Windermere.The hotel piano lounge was a little bit 'tired' but elsewhere the attention to detail was very good,except for the rather tatty menus which had seen better days.The management and staff were all eager to please even ensuring us a window table so we could appreciate a fantastic sunset each evening.A stroll around the immaculate grounds is a must ,the magnolias just coming into flower and cherry trees at their best.We hope to be back at the Langdale Chase again soon.

Lovely hotel overlooking lake Windermere. Had lunch in the conservatory. Small lunchtime menu but the food was lovely. Will go again.

Fantastic location right next to Lake Windermere. Comfortable bed. Although the room looked a bit dated and the walk-in shower had dangerous crack on floor tiles. However overall a pleasant experience with lovely views and nice staff. Plus a good standard of food in the restaurant.
