Just an incredible place. Looked after well. He outdoor pool was great

Amazing location. Very friendly and professional staff. Room had an extremely squeaky wooden floor. There was a horrifically bad smell being pumped out of the kitchens I think which greeted you at the entrance at the back of the block where I was staying. This smell also floated up and came in through the window. Wasn't nice not being able to have the windows open for quite a lot of the time in the evenings. Otherwise away from this vent there was a really nice smell of burning woodfires around the grounds. On balance a really nice place to stay just wouldn't stay in that block of rooms in future (near the back of the restaurant).

We have owned a time share for more than twenty years,sadly this year our party felt a total disconnect between the leisure area and the after swim coffee area.

Dinner on Saturday night was reasonable but not worth the cost.

The service when trying to get a coffee in the afternoon ,then in the evening getting a quiet drink was very slow. The excuse give me at the reception was quote "we were short staffed"?

All in all if this continues I will not be tempted back

Had a meal in the restaurant with a group of 14 with a set menu. Food was lovely although a little slow, sat down at 8 and was still waiting for desert at 10:30! This wasn't a massive issue for myself although some of the group did. It turned out that management waived the drinks bill and will be investigating. Would I eat in the restaurant again? Yes as the food was excellent.

This is my third stay in one of the lodges and has been the worst.

The cleaning of the lodges requires urgent attention. When we arrived they were obvious cobwebs in the master bedroom, the shower tiles look as if they haven't be cleaned for weeks (grouting is brown with mild and mildew) and the wall lights are full what I hope is only dust.

WiFi is provided but is very poor. It requested that guests do not stream but download TV programmes etc. The internet speed makes downloading anything a chore.

We did order food from Stove and this was very nice.

The staff are helpful and pleasant.

Great hotel. V good food. Went away with large work group and it provided a superb venue for work and rest.

Great hotel/resort. Room excellent. Breakfast amazing. Resurant amazing. Spa good but not great a little expensive for the experience but still enjoyed it. Will be coming back again.

Amazing hotel and grounds in the lake district. Great facilities also.
You will need a car to get to other villages and towns. Can't wait to stay again.

We arrived in the dark, so we found it difficult to find reception. However, once we did, we were welcomed professionally and orientated to the site. Our room was cosy and lovely, and the Kendal mint cakes on the pillows were a nice touch. Lovely spa bath with Elemis products to try was a nice surprise. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was a delight with the options of smoked haddock or salmon, waffles, or traditional cooked breakfast. The spa was lovely, although the children in the pool were a bit noisy!
