Basically, all the elements to make our very own awesome party, Oktoberfest Petersfield Style...

For one day only, Petersfield Festival Hall will be transformed into a Petersfield Oktoberfest beer hall with a traditional theme, bench tables, an awesome team providing table service with both men and women decked out in authentic Oktoberfest dress, one of the UK’s best oompah bands providing the musical entertainment... as well as the traditional tastes of Oktoberfest with German beer, pretzels and sausages for all!
Oktoberfests are a time to let your hair down, roll your sleeves and trouser legs up and have fun... Once inside the hall, you will be transported to a world of Oktoberfest where your once-crazy looking costumes will see you becoming the heart and soul of the event, giving you the courage to join in with every rendition of Ein Prosit!

We had such a wonderful weekend at Secrets of the heath, thank you so much for having us.
What a fantastic time! We met newts, barn owls and bats, witnessed incredible reenactments and chatted with the foraging caveman Will Lord Prehistoric Survival.
... It was great to meet everyone... can't wait until next year!

Secrets of the heath is a free event on 8th & 9th September at Petersfield Heath Lake... it shares the unknown history of South Downs National Park heathland and what makes these rare and beautiful places so special.
Heaths are very rare habitats - rich in wildlife - and they’re also a fantastic open space for families to explore. But many people don’t realise that they’re under threat and would disappear completely if they aren’t actively managed. This event is a chance for ...people to come face-to-face with heathland characters from pre-historic to present times. Come and find out how people have lived and worked the heath over thousands of years and how you can play your part today.
Throughout the day there will be a programme of displays and re-enactments in the arena including:
•Roman soldiers •Medieval warriors •Falconry •The highway woman
In addition there will be many stalls (including a Langham Brewery pitch!) and demonstrations - from making Stone Age flint tools and birch brooms, to meeting the snakes and lizards that inhabit our heathland and the cows and sheep that graze it.
Also expect a bat walk on Saturday evening, have a go archery and even the family dog can get involved! Get him to try our countryside dog ability course.
No need to book, just turn up on the day.

Join us at Worthing Food and Drink Festival, which takes place on September 15th & 16th, on Steyne Gardens in Worthing, West Sussex.
The Festival is now in its seventh year and continues to grow in popularity… in 2017 it attracted 25,000 people!
There will be around 50 stalls, a number of local chefs on hand to create signature dishes and plenty of different types of food to try. Kenny Tutt – the winner of the 2018 MasterChef will also be demonstrating his skills at this year...’s festival.

Our much-loved and well-supported annual conker competition takes place at our beautiful ‘brewery in a barn’ on the Cowdray Estate on Sunday 14th October.
There will be an excellent bar (of course!), with 13 of our award winning ales available, plus live music a wonderful homemade BBQ from the excellent Cocking Farm Shop, plus cakes and teas and lots of craft stalls. And for kids of all ages - steam engine rides, face painting, and giant games.
It’s free to come along, but pl...ease give generously, as we’ll be collecting for Chestnut Tree House Hospice Care Sussex (15th birthday celebrations).

The South Downs National Park team will be with us today at our Live At Langhams - Bank Holiday Music & Beer Festival.
They'll be bringing their events van, with a giant jigsaw and badge-making plus 'Riveropoly', which is essentially giant monopoly without any money and based on rivers and watervoles!
They'll also bring some Virtual Reality Headsets for you to try out.

Never had a bad beer from them yet, if I see it in a pub it's the first one I go for. Highly recommended and that's from a Yorkshireman living in Sussex so it must be good �

Langham do not have a single beer for me to complaint about. They are all totally delicious. As if that is not good enough I do not have a single member of their team to complaint about either, they're delicious n' all!
