"To make a grand meal, you have to make it simple. To look simple is very complicated. You need the highest quality products, the best equipment and you have to keep the focus on the original flavor of the product." #AJRexperience #JoelRobuchon

Jeremy Page, the Executive Chef of l’Atelier de Joël Robuchon London, was born in England, around three hours from the restaurant, in Bath. His family relocated to “le Périgord Noir”, France, when he was six years old; it is here that the young English boy grew up with a blend of his British heritage, but also the cuisine of the South-West. A region particularly known for luxury produce, Page fell in love with its truffles, mushrooms, duck and foie gras. Just how Joël Robuchon travelled for inspiration, Jeremy travelled Europe: a few culinary escapades in France, Italy and Spain have led to the uniqueness of the food he produces here in London.

User

came here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Loved it. Everything was fantastic. Service was fab and staff extremely friendly and helpful.

User

We had the tasting menu with prestige paired wine. Was amazing experience. Only thing was it was very hot in the restaurant. Food was fabulous

User

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff and excellent service. Very good wine list - glasses/ bottles/ champagne/ dessert wine - their lovely sommelier will match you the one you need.

The food is very good , and it's really fun to enjoy fine dining French cuisine along Asian influences.

It might be a bit pricey but it's a very good experience.

User

Top marks all round. We had the tasting menu. Very tasty and fantastic presentation . My only down side was their signature dish! Presentation outstanding. Tase? Lambs liver. Not! But I was able to pass it on to my husband and go on to the next spectacle course. The chocolate desert was outstanding. Great service and we will return.

Arrived late (my fault) and was worried about timings as we were there for a pre-theatre meal. I shouldn’t have been worried. From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional! The amuse bouche was incredible and set the scene for the spectacular starters... my wife had the lobster ravioli and I had the poached egg with mushrooms (it’s so much more than that!) I chose a superb bottle of Spanish white and was not disappointed. It was worth every penny and more of the £60 a bottle. The wine list offers more reasonable

Wines whilst also offering some exceptional fine wines (maybe when I have more time). My wife then had the quail and I opted for the steak (yes with white wine!) both mains were superb and up to the quality of the starters... the cheese at the end was a selection of England v France... which our Gallic cousins just edged in my opinion! The lovely sommelier was extremely professional ensuring we were well topped up at all times and the timing of our dishes meant that I even had a chance to buy a glass of wine in the theatre! I cannot heap enough praise on this exceptional restaurant, the staff of which looked after us from start to finish!

User

After many years of going to this bar/ restaurant it continues to provides first class service and the most delicious food. I can’t wait until my next visit.

User

The food was spectacular and presented perfectly. But the service was lacking - they didn't offer the cocktail list, we ordered the tasting menu and no one suggested the paired wines- we only knew about this when they offered it to the couple next to us. Our wine and water came after our food which really shouldn't exist in a Michelin star restaurant. Clumsy waiters who didn't know how to explain the food. There was also no water on the menu- just £6 filtered water. I expected much more from the service, but the food really was sensational.

User

We arrived and were at first taken aback by the very limited number of entree choices. Not as we expected but certainly not a criticism.

But told right away---no salmon, no lobster. As we began studying the menu, we were then told the lamb was finished. At which point we asked for our waiter to order before everything else disappeared.

The food was acceptable at best---basic roast chicken and a nice Dover sole.

We then ordered a cheese course and port---the cheese arrived (and just the cheese). Fifteen minutes after asking for bread and crackers and the port, sliced bread arrived along with an apology that there were no crackers available. At which point we returned the cheese and paid the bill.

The port never came nor did the espresso....

And this is ostensibly a Joel Robuchon.....

User

The service was beyond terrible and we never got dinner after waiting over an hour at the table. Then, to just top it off, they could not believe we were leaving without paying as the first floor was busy and we were on the third. Why did we not understand?

Stay away from this place as their attitude is deplorable!!
