We can't thank everyone at The Belsfield enough for helping us to have our perfect wedding day there. The hotel is beautiful, the service is excellent, the food was great, and the view is the best ever! All of our guests keep talking about how much they enjoyed our wedding and the beautiful location. Thank you so much for all your hard work to create our dream day! Can't wait to come back and enjoy the hotel again soon. Louise & Graeme xx

Totally recommend this fabulous hotel 100% - staff, food, ambience and views were great!

The hotel was amazing beautiful interior staff very welcoming and fab location. We booked a garden view room and still had a view of the lake which was outstanding! We had a complimentary cream tea upon arrival which took a while to arrive however they were understaffed and the gentleman who served us did give us some complimentary prosecco due to the delay which was lovely. He also served us at breakfast and remembered us which was nice to see as he worked very hard!

Breakfast was fab lots of choice and delicious!

My only suggestion would be to turn the heating down in the rooms as it was extremely warm and we needed to sleep with the window open but apart from that it was beautiful and would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a lovely stay by the lake :)

I would just like to thank the Laura Ashley Belsfield for a wonderful experience when I attended a wedding there yesterday.

This was my first big trip away with my family since being diagnosed with coeliac disease and I was so worried that being gluten free would be an issue when eating out.

But the hotel was amazing - not only did they make my entire 3 course meal gluten free (including lovely GF bread and a gorgeous GF sticky toffee pudding!), they brought out a gluten free option for me in the evening when everyone had sausage butties and also, when I realised all the canapes had gluten in them, my husband spoke to a staff member who immediately arranged for some gluten free canapes to be prepared specially and brought out to me - it may not sound like a lot, but it really made my day!

The hotel is beautiful and the wedding was fantastic!

Came here last Saturday for Afternoon Tea it was lovely, got more here than any other place that I’ve been for Afternoon Tea

User

Brilliant hotel, great food and very comfortable bedroom, opened the curtains to see a little red squirrel running up a down a tree outside the window. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

User

Beautiful hotel set in a stunning location. We stayed here as we were attending a wedding. Staff were very helpful, friendly and happy to help wherever possible. Breakfast was divine so much choice and again gorgeous view looking out into the lake. We will be back.

The belsfield is a stunning place. The decor is fantastic all Laura Ashley paper & materials & furniture, lots of lovely areas to sit & relax downstairs and the overall atmosphere to me was just relaxing. Fabulous. All lovely attentive pleasant staff and the food was all very good nicely presented, hot & tasty. My only disappointment was my room we had only booked a cosy compact type which usually means tiny n no veiw which is exactly what we got but I thought the booking said shower over bath n it was just a shower n I always like a bath after a day walking but next time ( we will definitely return) we will book a bigger room. Loved it.

Perfect location with stunning views across the lake. There were a party of 14 of us and we had the evening meal and the staff were very attentive; room were a little warm and could have done with the heating turning down. If I had to make a negative remark it would be that the staff at breakfast were not welcoming at all. However, the service was great and the food delicious, particularly the bacon - very high quality. The breakfast staff just needed to smile a bit more! Overall though a great stay.

Just dropped in for a drink on recommendation from.a lady on the ferry! What lovely, friendly staff. My pink gin was pretty special too and the view from the gardens was spectacular.

I am just grateful that this stately and well renovated hotel has been wrestled out of the stinky dirty fingers of the Britannia Hotels Group, who are an embarrassment to the British psyche. Well done Laura Ashley Group for nurturing such a lovely hotel. A credit to you.

User

Great venue, overlooking the lake. Parking I have to say can be tedious at times, we were there for the weekend and the hotel was busy.

Food was very good, breakfast was good too and everything was well cooked.

Bar staff were very attentive and service was good.

Room was large but did look a little tired, nothing that spoilt our stay but let's just say a little TLC couldn't fix.

All that said I would stay there again.

User

Enjoyed afternoon tea with my two friends but VERY VERY disappointed when we asked for our bottle of Prosecco and we were told they had run out! No compensation, just had to order another bottle which cost us £6 more. Get your ordering s bit more organised please. We'll probably be back.

User

Amazing location and interior design. The food is very good as well. Only some of the staff need to be more friendly. I highly recommend it.

User

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel and while I would have rated my last stay as Excellent I did not have the same experience.

So I'll start with the negatives and move into the positives as my experience was Good just not quite Very Good or Excellent.

When we arrived there were a lot of people trying to check in and two ladies doing check in. However when it came to my turn i went over to the English lady on reception who didn't look up and then when I had been stood in front of her a while looked up and sharply asked if she could help. I said I'd like to check in and she said that the other lady would be with me soon (who was in the middle of checking someone else in) and walked off.

The Phillipino lady on reception was lovely and extremely helpful.

We then got to our room which had an amazing view but the decor is starting to look a bit tired since my last visit so I was a little underwhelmed. When you're in the room you can hear everything and the walls were very thin - the people in the next room were flushing toilets and running water in the early hours of the morning which made an awful sound as our bathrooms were connected and we didn't sleep very well.

What I liked about the hotel is the location however for the money we paid there are so many more hotels that are more luxurious be it not right in front of the lake but we are happy to walk/drive to the lake so this feels like a better option for us next time we visit.

The bar man was also very friendly and made a good cocktail or two.

Very sad to say if you're expecting luxury and flawless decor this hotel no longer lives up to that.

User

Lovely decor unfortunately the service at meal times was very poor although the food was very good there was to long await between courses at the evening meal and breakfast was no better ,we had finished our breakfast a good ten minutes before our coffee and toast arrived after reminding them twice about it 😏

User

Hotel is amazingly decorated , grounds are the most beautiful but the staff lets it down with poor service.

User

Disappointing.

The view of the lake is beautiful but at over £400 for 2 nights...not recommended.

Smallest double room with bathroom size of a cupboard.

Had to ask for shower gel and water....

Was going to book restaurant until heard lady in reception complain about the food...

The swimming pool advertised has closed down also.

If you want 4 star this is not recommended.
