Laura Ashley The Belsfield Hotel

Well known for weddings around the Lake District but make sure you pay for them. Yes they have the grounds but there are a lot of other lovely hotels very much cheaper around the lake - I'd say go to them instead.

Loved the social areas of the hotel most - relax and spend some time in the bar and lounge - beautiful areas! We stayed on an offer with cream tea and prosecco which was delicious - warm scones and we had the prosecco just before dinner. The room was very comfortable - standard double so no lake view but a nice room with all the facilities we needed and a modern bathroom with bath. Like little touches like the jar of sweets in the room. Dinner was good but we have had better at similar hotels in the area, and £15+ for a main was reasonable. Breakfast buffet style but seemed well cooked and replenished regularly. Staff polite and helpful. Overall very likely to visit again for cream/afternoon tea, may stay again if in the area.

Just back from a 2 night stay for a wedding from checking in to checking out everything was perfect staff could not be more helpful we had room 45 it is beautiful and very spacious the wedding itself was amazing xx

Very disappointed with my stay! For starters I came across stinky smell as soon as i set foot in the main lobby. Staff were running around in the hotel as it was a big circus. Had a very very disappointing breakfast menu same as a below average B&B would have. There was more staff on breakfast floor than the people having breakfast. And they couldn't wait to clear up their miserable breakfast menu off the floor as soon as the clock struck 10. It was no where near worth the money. Definitely will not be staying here again

Lovely hotel. Stayed with wife and 3 kids in family room and room was superb. Large roomwith one king size bed, 1 sofa And 2 camp beds so more than enough room.
Room was very clean and bathroom was also spotless.
Staff are friendly and the location is amazing ,looking right over lake Windermere.

Rather disappointed overall. Pool was closed but there was no notice of this fact. In booking or check-in. The hotel it self is fine but the atmosphere is really flat and most staff just seem to want to be elsewhere.

Really lovely hotel in a fantastic location with views over Lake Windemere. The hotel is nicely decorated with, as expected, Laura Ashley products and finishes. The staff were really friendly and brilliant with my two little boys.

amazing staff, amazing hotel, cannot fault anything at all, we recently got married here and it was the most perfect venue. The staff were so helpful and exceeded our expectations

Attended for a wedding. Have dietary requirements that were not received by the kitchen. However food was still available for me (although lacking in variety - fruit salad for both starter and dessert!). Lovey venue.
