REGROWTH 😍 Why do our extensions grow out? What signs should we look for? How we know when are refits are due? Do i have to have a refit? Take a look at these photos. This is what your weave SHOULD look like after 8 weeks. This is my own head 💁🏼‍♀️. So although you have hair extensions in, obviously your natural hair will still grow! Even if you think it doesnt. It does. Your extensions are fitted tightly in place so as your natural hair grows, your extensions will too. Hence... why they are about an inch from my scalp now and not up near my root. My hair IS growing yay! 🙋🏼‍♀️ as you can see, each section is still visable. This is because my weave was fitted neatly and correctly. If you can still see your sections you know your extensionist did a good job at first fit 💜 if your sections are wonky, not newt they will grow out wonky and not neat. And by having messy regrowth this causes one thing - matting! ❌ if you look at the 3rd photo you can see i actually have the gaps between each section. This shows not only were they fitted perfectly (thanks @rnbhairandmakeup_) but I have looked after them properly 🙋🏼‍♀️. You can also see that the weft is still fully intact. Strong and secure to my head. If your weft is flapping about something has gone wrong. It wasnt tight enough to start with, your putting too much tension on your weft, you’ve caught it with a brush or some people like to fiddle 🙄. Anyway, if you look at the 4th photo.. this will show MY NATURAL HAIR. Doesnt look anything special BUT, over the years I have suffered with my hair severely through PCOS which I know is extremely common in women ❤️ and bleaching my hair didnt help either. But after having my hair cut ON ny shoulder 2 and a half years ago i’m so happy at the length my hair is now. Just from taking better care. And I have worn my weave the whole time. No break. 💁🏼‍♀️ yes my hair is thin. Always has been, always will be. BUT this is just proof that with correct fitting, refitting and removals and a good aftercare routine you can revive your hair and wear extensions that wont cause damage.
