Would you like to be the next leader of BOVA, the Salesian overseas volunteer programme? BOVA is a member of the LMVN, a network of organisations sending volunteers abroad and we share our expertise, ideas and support.
Another excellent orientation and training week for Assumption and Jesuit Missions volunteers going to the Philippines, Tanzania and India, thanks to the team and the wonderful speakers and presenters...
Another excellent orientation and training week for volunteers going overseas to Assumption and Jesuit projects. First departure mid-August. May it be a fantastic year for you all!.
Our orientation to prepare our volunteers to serve overseas is coming closer - we start on 22 July. Looking forward to another wonderful week of learning, exploring, community life and fun. Some of last year's group will be coming to share their experiences with the new ones.
Five of our organisations (AV, BOVA, CLMP, JMV and LDWP) promoting volunteering and mission at St Mary's University. Between us we had plenty of opportunities for people aged 18 plus for various lengths of service and many countries. We've updated our logo too.
This was the year we had 18 volunteers on our orientation course preparing to serve abroad: 11 from Jesuit Missions Volunteers, 6 from Assumption Volunteers and 1 with Mill Hill. Anne Falola, we were blessed to have you with the Network for 18 months. We continue to enable young adults to serve abroad, to learn from crossing cultures and to receive so much from those they serve.
Faith in Action session on our LMVN orientation.
Orientation 2017 starts today with Assumption Volunteers, Jesuit Missions Volunteers and Bosco Volunteer Action. More to come later.
Next LMVN residential orientation course will be 21 - 28 July in Kensington, London, with Assumption, Jesuit Mission and Salesian volunteers. Open to volunteers in UK going abroad who would benefit from training with others - you may have found your own project in schools or hospitals. Contact vc@assumptionvolunteers.org.uk for details
