You looked nice from the outside & we were delighted to find a roaring logburner inside. The staff were friendly, service was quick & our lunch was delicious and reasonably priced. We would definitely return when in the area.

Visiting the area and came across Le Bateau. Looked nice from outside so thought we'd give it a go. Very friendly staff who explained the offer for the night. Patient with our dithering. Sat outside in the early evening sun. Food arrived quite quickly, was fresh, hot and tasty. Drinks were lovely and cool. Might go back to try their hugs of cocktails. Good value, good vibe, good time!

Visited Saturday 21st for a night out with friends.

DJ Ross Eb created a great atmosphere on the dance floor with a great set. Very enjoyable night.

Had my daughters 18th birthday here for 22 people. The table was beautiful. Service fantastic and food just lovely. Fantastic night and the staff were truly wonderful. Highly recommend x brilliant night! Thank you to everyone xxxx

The food is to a very high standard and for over the ten years we have been going there with all our family and friends we haven't had one bad experience ! Lovely food and atmosphere as usual. However the live music was too loud so you need to almost shout at each other ....otherwise very enjoyable again!

Walked in at 5.45pm to see your chef through the open door to the kitchen sat on a work surface, looking at his phone and vaping. ÔŅĹ. Not a good start. There was only one girl behind the bar serving and waitressing the food area as well. It was starting to get busy. Wasn't happy to hear and see screaming under five yr children running about and yapping dogs when I was expecting to at least eat our meal and not end the evening with tinnitus. Thankfully more staff arrived and we had our meal order taken and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. The chefs hygiene and noise levels let it down for me but food was good.

Food was nice but the bar service was very mediocre. Slow to acknowledge when we were waiting and no one came to take our food order until we approached the bar

So I did like it here! But since Xmas and new year it's gone belly up? Staff were so rude Friday night! So miserable! Don't do a bar job if you can't smile and be pleasant! The DJ was in the wrong room?? Was he lost??!! No where to sit and just chill having our drinks! So instead we could have a dance...... but wtf was the music being played by some random? Where's the funky music gone?? Hopefully it was a one off?? If not we won't bother coming again!!

Bar staff very friendly though and half price prosecco from 3 o"clock which was a bonus considering everything else.

Late afternoon bank holiday Monday wanted something to eat. My friend and I were served by an oriental looking waitress. He asked for a pint of peroni, I a glass of red wine and we both ordered salads. The peroni came, a bottle! not only the fact it was not a pint as requested, but no glass either. The cost for a single bottle was the same as a pint in Camden. I could not eat my salad as it was swimming in vinegar. The waitress said she would tell the chef ......................... and, nothing. I was charged for the unedible salad. Never have had a great experience there, but this was so bad and having to pay for something that was unedible, really? Will never eat there again

Just had a delivery of a chicken burger and 2 Halloumi burgers. The Halloumi burgers were very soggy and the Chicken burger was completely inedible. As the delivery was very quick the food was clearly not cooked from fresh. Very disappointed. Lost customer, never again
