Visited on the middle Saturday morning of Wimbledon fortnight for brunch. They have a great menu and although busy we were shown to a table straight away and served. Food took a little time to arrive and one of our party’s scrambled eggs were cold. Otherwise a very busy but atmospheric place to spend a morning people watching.
Lovely relaxed ambience, good service, great food. Perfect position at the top of Wimbledon Hill. The range of different organic breads, is of particular note. Not cheap and service charge included. But recommend this place if you fancy trying something different from the usual chain restaurants.
I love the food and the speed of service. The location was great, quiet and relaxing. But only a slight comment when my friend ordered some kind of a strawberry cheesecake and the strawberry doesn't look fresh when you cut it inside. It was sort of a slightly brown coloured, not enticing to eat. We sort of made a complain. The waitress was quite helpful but the manager only gave us a 40 pence reduction on the final bill. Was quite an insult but the waitress was quite apologetic we kinda just let it go. Still the food was amazing.
Terrible service yesterday afternoon. The waiter was rude in general and said he couldn't split the bill for us - we had to sort it out ourselves were his words! Didn't understand the reason... we had babies with us and it was all a bit chaotic... won't be back.
