About Le Pain Quotidien Uk

We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts.

At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

Of all the branches I have visited, this has always been a personal local favourite since 2010... I have been through phases of the best service to the poorer times, like the phases of life we share, from the best to the choppiest of WiFis, etc... What I love about it is the consistent genuine warmth of the ambience plus quality products. I love the vibe that is down to earth and unpretentious, that keeps trying and brings forth the attitude of "never give up, just roll with it when you cannot fight it". It is one for when we are in a state of appreciating life in all its forms :-)

Lovely atmosphere and great food & drink. Especially love the long sharing table in the middle.

It's become my regular place to hang out whenever I'm in the area. As a vegetarian I know it's the one place I always find something good to eat and drink. And the service is always great. Definitely recommend.

Nice space, nice food. Sweet staff. Will be back. Come at 10, after that busy..

The food and drink is excellent, but I couldn't in good conscience leave a tip, which is a pity because perhaps one of the reasons the staff are so miserable and unhelpful is that they are probably not well paid. Invest in your people Pan Quotidian, we'd all win.

Gorgeous interior & your food is fabulous: the bread varieties, the dairy free cappuccino awesome, different spreads for toast basket breakfast But alas, you need to seriously spend time training staff to greet customers, smile & maybe improve their English (maybe I could help, I'm a language teacher ). Had to ask for bread to be toasted & marmalade never arrived. Shame on you owners of Pain Quotidien...this could be an A-mAzing place with a bit more training!

First time in this place and it was okay. Very expensive and the service is so slow. I didn't understand why as they was a lot of staff but no one know what are they doing.

Very upsetting to discover that this chain take 60% of the tips. The waitress who served us was lovely, she was back and forth checking allergens for us and eager to please. I ALWAYS ask how the tips are handled no matter where I am eating, so when I was informed the company takes 60% I asked for the service to be removed from our bill and will return with a cash tip for that particular waitress when I next walk past. Such a shame as they cater for vegans and gluten free and what we ate and drank was delicious. If I had the time I would leave this review on every single branches page so that they all lose ratings. YOUR STAFF DESERVE BETTER!!!!! I'll be emailing head office.

Where to start. Stood by the “please wait to be seated” sign for 3 minutes (the only ones there...) waiting patiently as staff ignored us.

Found our own seats, then stood at the till to be told it was table service only. Sat back down. Watched as other groups went through the same welcoming process. Staff not interested and fairly unapologetic at the lack of menu availability when we did order.

Flat white served in a small bowl making it difficult to drink comfortably. Partners coffee was mostly milk with a single shot of espresso buried in a large bowl. Two attempts and still not right. Asked for it to be removed from the bill, which required some negotiation (both attempts still not drunk on the table.) Basically the least relaxing and least enjoyable coffee experience either of us have had.
