Le Pain Quotidien Uk

About Le Pain Quotidien Uk

We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts.

At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

Our breakfast was very yummy! It was refreshing to have so much veggie choice. We will be back!

Ordinarily we visit every time at the village cards on table ordered drinks and a cake each - drinks arrived no cakes twice we were asked werewe waiting for something else as they clearly wanted the table on the end we said just bring us the bill forget the cakes - the waitress came back advising the manager said the drinks were on the house. I wouldn’t normally accept this but did out of principle. I’m giving you 5 stars from past experience Not yesterday

Loved the vegan blueberry muffin with my vegan flat white. Good going guys!

User

Fantastic customer service, ordered a dish and didn’t enjoy due to my personal tastes, however the manager swapped it for something else as he didn’t want me leaving without eating! Second dish was yummy!!

Would recommend highly to anyone coming to Bicester village for a day out shopping!!

Fab Coffee, Great food and a wonderful place to relax before or after your busy day at the Village ❤️

User

I have to say when I visited the service was good. Food excellent and coffee great 😀

Had chicken and leek pie with roast potatoes and veg . Veg as a little hard for my liking (I like soft veg) chicken pie as extremely enjoyable . Overall food and service was very good

Food lovely but really don't like like the cups with no handles. Cup very hot to hold, and you have to use two hands!, I like to have my drink hot but had to wait for it to cool. My daughter had her baby in a frontal sling and had to wait until her coffee cooled as she did not want to risk drinking over her babies head. Unfortunately this would probably put me off coming again which is a shame as the food was fab

User

service was good and friendly staff but I think charging £2.50 each for 2 very small glasses of warm water with no ice was exhorbitant

Visited this venue on Sunday 29th October 2017

The decor and ambiance was good

The food was well prepared and tasty, this venue was a disappointment due to the very bad service.

Drinks order was delivered incorrectly, food took a very long time to be served. Waiter was not at all attentive or helpful.

Would recommend the food but not the service

My wife and I had brunch there yesterday and the service and food was excellent.

However the bit I didn’t like was when I rechecked my bill I had paid £5 as on optional service charge yet I hadn’t been asked before it was added to my bill.

This has now tainted my feelings towards going back.

My daughter and I went for lunch Thursday 9 November (mother and daughter time) and both of us ordered steak and mash stew and drinks. The Diet Coke was organic (karma coke) interesting but certainly not for her and I tasted it and thought it was watery. Like the concept of giving a percentage of the costs to Sierra Leone but learned no karma for us next time. Good quick service, my food my lovely but not my daughters as her steak was fatty. We did mention to the lady who explained to the manager who agreed 25% of the bill. Shame as it did not impress us that much and I did say I would write a review like most places like to receive good/constructive feedback. The lady did mention my comment about the review and I asked what did he say, not expecting much I did not want her to feel uncomfortable and paid the bill. To my surprise the manager came over at the end and chatted to us about the food and quality showing a slightly more concerned customer care and satisfaction. He wanted us to take out cakes of our choice and even offered my daughter a replacement for her karma coke. We appreciated his time to come and spend time just to discuss the problem and never expected anything else. Thank you

User

Good food, weird to sit at the same big table with unknown people in front of me and my friends sitting in a row. Embarrassing

User

Food, wine and service very good and reasonably priced. I must say however it was late on a Monday night when Bicester Village was empty. Haven't tested it on a busy shopping day or night. One thing I would add and did comment to the staff, it was cold in the restaurant and we weren't the only ones eating with our coats on!

User

Seemed a nice place .

However the coffee was average and the scone was dry and tasteless , not what I'd call an afternoon tea. And on top of that it was way over priced .

I'll go to prets next time .

User

Not a lot to choice on the menu, I know its different from the over restaurant, but more variety would be good.

User

I'm not satisfy, I thought the roast salmon is real salmon with potatoes but didn't mention that it's a bread with cucumber and with salmon flakes only. It's written that there are some salad but no salad at all. It's not worth to pay £10.+ vat the 4 small pieces of sliced bread with salmon flakes and 1 slices of cucumber

Went to your bicester branch yesterday and there were flies on the take-away baguettes. we mentioned it to a member of staff who said "oh il take that one and make you a fresh one if you like"......that is not the issue. the flies we're on all the baguettes. we then spoke to the manager who said "its summer, it's the same everywhere even in supermarkets, what do you expect?" mmmm no!! it isn't the same everywhere. i visit bicester regularly and used to go here a few times a weekend but after yesterday i will not be returning. The food should covered!!

please can i have details to make an official complaint. i will also be contacting the local council's environmental health department.

Service fast and polite use very often but scone I had was possible the worst i have ever tasted. Totally the wrong texture. Not very good value.
