About Le Pain Quotidien Uk

We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts.

At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

My husband and I had a great experience at Le Pain Quotidian in Victoria the other day. We're vegan and sometimes venturing into a non-vegan restaurant can be stressful... This was not the case at Le Pain Quotidian! There were so many options available to us and the staff was really friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. The vegan chocolate cake was wonderful! And that was where I was most surprised- most patisseries don't have any vegan options! Not only did we have multiple options- but the cake was fantastic! We'll be back for sure! Thanks again!

Incredible soup, really great coffee, delicious apricot tart, carrot cake and fresh bread. The wait staff was extremely friendly as well as professional, making sure we were enjoying our choices.

Had the most tastiest breakfast here yesterday. Will definitely be back

Delicious ingredients!!! I went to the one near St Paul's Cathedral , and was very kindly served by Rafaela, a brazilian girl like me !! I will come back more times !

Teu the mushroom toast and the chocolate & pear pie ! ...

What a lovely place. Sadly we didn't have time to eat from the very inviting menu, but excellent coffee and almond croissant!

I'd have liked the service to have been a little snappier, but that's almost certainly because I was in a hurry and had a short window of opportunity!

That said, I'd definitely go there again and have a lovely lunch - such a wonderful atmosphere!

We had lunch here after visiting the London eye. I had baked eggs with chorizo and sour dough toast it was lovely. We were seated and served quickly and the atmosphere was buzzing. Lovely place to eat 👍

User

Had a small latte (which to me was anything but small) and a scone with jam and cream; which was delicious! Didn't wait long to be seated or to be served, will be going back

Over-priced but tasty simple cuisine.

Despite this the restaurant appears to be popular and on the occasions I've visited, always busy.

If you like your breakfast served in mini frying pans then you're gonna love this place.

Even though we were adviced to go there by the locals, I can not say it was that good. The food is ok, but nothing more than the ordinary snacks. The prices are a bit too high because of the 'bio' label on everything. If you can buy a bottle of wine at the cafe average for 25 euro, at this place it was for over 30. The staff was really friendly and the variety of bio bread for take out is good.

User

Coffee was lukewarm and a Friend had a hot chocolate but it wasn’t nice and didn’t drink it. Staff were nice and friendly.

User

Sadly we were disappointed with Le pain quotidien. My scrambled eggs were cold and my wife’s scone was the worst she ever had.

One of the staff members was very abrupt and has probably only smiled twice in her life.

Won’t be going here again

Popped into the one by Monument Station for a quick pastry but decided to stay for a cooked breakfast instead

The cashier who took my initial order and payment was lovely. It all went downhill from there. One waiter was polishing cutlery with his back to the whole restaurant so couldn't grab his attention to order; anothrr was dragging his feet around the place. I ordered (with every adjective possible) well done baked eggs and they were brought to me alive. By the same waiter who took my order. Then he had the nerve to ask me if I wanted my change when I paid my bill. Never going to sit in the restaurant again.

User

Ordered a raisin pastry and you could count on two hands how many raisins there were inside. The coffee could have been hotter.

User

Food was good but let down by the service. Staff were not particularly friendly and we had a 30min+ wait for food. Will not be returning!

User

Witnessed 4 mice running around the place after it closed. Shared my video with them privately and it was ignored so now posting here...

User

Went there this morning and was excited as we’ve heard good things. We placed our order and waited well over 30 minutes for pastry and coffee, someone simply “forgot” to place or order in the system.

We didn’t even get an apology. Bread was lovely but what a disappointing experience.

We visited 'our local' at a very quiet time of day on a Sunday. The pleasant young male waiter gave us no service at all. The stew was served onto cold plates so arrived cold. This is obviously such a good place. This staff member was carried by his colleagues. In an area with such a choice of eating places this just needs sorting by a supervisor.

Visited your North Audley Street (London, W1) branch yesterday (6 Feb) for a breakfast meeting. After three attempts to serve up an acceptable Scrambled Egg and Mushrooms (Cold, Cold, Overcooked eggs) I gave up and went to the italian cafe across the road.

Have you lost your way Le Pain Quotidien?

User

Very disappointed, the service is bad, slow and the waiters are very unpleasant, the manager was very terse and not helpful. I am lactose intolerant andI have been to other branches where the people there were kind and happy to find solutions.
