October Charity - The Laura Centre
This weekend's parkrun will celebrate the memory of baby Rose Adlington who would have been 4 years old this week.
Pick up a rose before you run, and a slice of cake afterwards, and join her family and friends in celebrating her birthday, all in aid of The Laura Centre, the amazing local counselling charity for bereaved parents and children, who'll be our chosen charity for the month.

Whether you’ve had a bad day at work, family/ relationship problems or just generally having a bad time of things always remember a run/walk can be so good for you.
Next week is #runandtalk week and World Mental Health Day and my club Spa Striders are opening their doors for anyone to come along for a run next Monday, Wednesday and or Friday

Come on Leamington convince those friends/family to register for parkrun now Today the 5 millionth registration will take place yes A5000000 but so far there seems to be 220 more applicants to go - yes A4999780 has just gone! (Yes, I’m also avoiding writing that report watching it) Free cookie, tea, coffee & heck free Saturday morning runs for a year if it’s a Leamington registrant for the 5 millionth!!! Be quick!

Hope you all had fun today - was great to see you on a lovely morning at Newbold. Also great to see this recognition for our efforts to reduce waste... thanks to everyone for embracing the initiative, especially those of you who bring your own cups/bottles. See you next week! :-)

Is anyone planning on running round the parkrun course before parkrun tomorrow morning? If so, could you let me know - otherwise I'll be up early to walk the course as it's been quite windy since I walked it this afternoon. I just need to know it's clear. Thanks.

A HUGE big THANK YOU to our wonderful WARWICK DISTRICT COUNCIL who’ve cleared a fallen tree so you lot can run around a park tomorrow... (cheers guys) we’re very lucky x

Thanks to lots of you who’ve spotted trees, boughs etc down around the Comyn WDC are awesome and trying hard to get to all of the trees around the district. They’ll do what they can for us today. I’ve just walked the south east part (around 4kms in on the course) and there’s a big tree down blocking whole path. We’re not allowed to ask for people to turn up with axes, chainsaws etc due to H&S but i can see we can reroute through the golf course for part of the course if WDC are unable to clear in time. With this in mind we will likely need 3 more marshals to help out and keep you all safe. I’m going to be honest and state that the route has not been accurately measured, but we’re putting on a run not a race. Check FB later for updates - cheers Happy parkrun-eve

It's Thursday morning and we still need someone to help Mrs Doyle in the cafe on Saturday. IIn return we'll give you love and cake (I'm all set to make apple cake again this week!) Can anyone help out?
