A listener with no judgement giving required support , help access the right care/support(s) needed or share to seek solution.
... Or A listener who trivialises the issue, help to spread the issue as gist with no recourse to any solution. You are still confident it’s just backbiting.
Dear Sister, Know your reality without being blinded by expectations of you in marriage and other people
Accept every situation as your responsibility to deal with.
Be confident to understand your marriage is unique and entirely up to you if you need to salvage it or walk away.
Reflect, re-appraise your situations and open your mind as you explore your thoughts for better possibilities to a better you.
It’s okay to be in denial at first. Helplessness and confusion could set in. Living in denial is more complicating.
Speak out where you need help. It’s okay if resisting to share anyhow but be open to close supportive friends- talking about it is a form of therapy.
Writing out your feelings in a journal can relieve the burden in the moment.
Speaking with professionals to seek lasting solutions is better.
Being empowered to work on yourself with right tools is best
The choices are within your control.

... In view of the rising issues of domestic abuse, mental and emotional stress affecting muslimahs, there are several happenings within our circles without going far.
From toxic marriage with verbal and emotional abuse, physical and financial abuse, power control in form of spouse dictatorship, high status and ego tripping with high insecurities, control from in-law infiltration and peer influence by friends and social circles not limited to coping with irresponsibilities of the man.
Be it physical to spiritual inclinations to all these problems,
Each person is an entity in a group and several groups are in a community. The muslim community surely needs help.
Let each person begin to ask herself several questions -Examples thus:
"If I were to turn back the hand of time, what would I want to correct or delete in my marriage?"
"What one thing is a major pain/stress in my marriage now ( big enough to affect my mental wellbeing)"
"List all your worries. What can you cope with?"
"Where do you need help?"
"What do you need to do differently from now to enjoy your life in marriage?"
Straight questions, trust me that the answers require deep thinking and soul searching.
Each of us go through a fair share of trying times sailing in the ship of marriage. On encountering storms, were you prepared for the storms , did your fellow sailor see the storm as thunderstorm or mild wind, do you quit sailing and allow the ship to sink, change direction or adjust the mast, allow minimal water in to create stability or excess to worsen it.
Only each person knows her reality but not everyone is aware enough to know when coping is right and when it is wrong which demands a different approach.

Celebrated annually on 11th of October
The 2018 theme is :... “With Her: A Skilled Girl Force”
According to the United Nations, it was launched in 2012 at the United Nations general assembly with major issues of focus by the International Day of the Girl Child are “education” , “equality”, “child marriage”, “access to services regarding puberty and sexual health” and “addressing issues around gender-based violence”.
The arm of the @unitednations UN Women stand with girls everywhere every year as they inspire, innovate and take charge of their own future.
Yes, there several challenges faced by girls globally from inadequate opportunity to education, training and opportunities in the workforce.
Despite such odds, there are still good stories of girls of today’s world who are challenging the odds, changing the narratives and doing so against such odds to achieve success as creators of solutions to challenges as inventors innovators, scientists , entrepreneurs etc
Every carer in the life of the girl child, from parents to schools; also need to mentor her to bring out her potential as well as empower her with appropriate life skills to thrive in this modern day world from self-confidence, problem solving, teamwork and critical thinking skills, emotional intelligence to foster good relationships amongst others.

Happy World Mental Health Day!!!!!! Celebrated yearly on 10th of October with the main goal of helping raise awareness of mental health issues around the world.

This year's focus is on "YOUNG PEOPLE AND MENTAL HEALTH IN A CHANGING WORLD"
Young people comprising adolescents and young adults.
The statistics showed that 1 in 10 children experiences a mental health issue with 50% most established by age 14 while most of them do not get noticed or have appropriate interventions early.
The leading mental health issue being harmful use of alcohol and illicit drugs
-Suicide
-Depression as the third
Others include eating disorders.
Teenagers have peculiar issues due to rapid changes in their lives emotionally, physically, environmentally as well as exciting times of change in schools, studies or job and unexpected sudden life changes.
Young people need a lot of support towards their mental well-being.
They need help while undergoing mental distress and mental illness.
They are able to thrive in everyday life and challenges once their mental resilience is built effectively
They also need to be empowered with adequate life skills to cope in daily life affairs and relationships.
Hence, the opportunities lie with parents, other carers and organisations who work with young people as well as government bodies/sectors making policies that affect their total well-being to begin to take action towards changing the narrative.
You are charged with creating awareness on young people's mental health, support system to listen non-jugementally and help seek appropriate interventions early.
Prevention and early intervention will go a long way to reduce the burden of disease towards a healthy and happier future generations.
