About Leaps & Bounds Community Project
An activity hub for adults with learning disabilities to help promote independence and living skills
Leaps & Bounds Community Project Description
The Leaps & Bounds project was started in 2008 and re-located to a more centrally situated shop in Park Street Deal in 2010 to provide real life work experience for those with learning difficulties . It is a non profit project selling art and hobby craft materials to the public. It offers an innovative opportunity for the adults who attend to learn about retail work .
The adults are encouraged to be involved with dealing with members of the public , displaying goods, stock taking and pricing up, using the till, money handling and many other aspects of the day to day running of the shop.
