Fines for rear view mirror decoration? Thursday, April 4, 2019
Recent news reports have suggested that hanging items such as air fresheners from your rear-view mirror could land you with a £1,000 fine. What is the truth?
... The DVSA said: “The DVSA encourages drivers to follow the guidance as laid out in the Highway Code and The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986; Drivers Control 104 with regards to ‘No person shall drive or cause or permit any other person to drive, a motor vehicle on a road if he is in such a position that he cannot have proper control of the vehicle or have a full view of the road and traffic ahead’.
The Highway Code states: “Windscreen and windows must be kept clean and free from obstructions to vision.”
If something hanging from your mirror, or a sticker on your windscreen prevents you from having a full view of the road, you could receive an on the spot fine of £100 and three penalty points if it is preventing your from having a full view of the road. The fine could increase to £1,000 if the case goes to court.
This would/could include poorly positioned Sat Nav's on windscreens !!!

Driver this car is looking for a quick way to the crematorium ⚰️ Registration Number GF51 BFJ Pulling out of the test center and was presented with this girl driver. The engine working so hard we heard the Rev limiter cutting in. My passenger said we had a two finger salute, personnel not sure on that one as I was dealing with the situation and 💩 myself. If she been a couple more feet she wouldn’t have got back in and there is no way she would have stopped. Dash Camara doesn’t give it justice) as they tend to make things look further away. My next post will be a picture. Hopefully the police will be interested and she will get a visit before she is brown bread !!!!!

It’s not over till it’s over 🥴 lol . Great positive comments from the examiner on her drive though so very well done.

Should Have Come to me First Mohammed !!!!
Congratulations to Mohammed Musa on finally passing his practical driving test today in Bletchley on his 9th attempt. Mohammed past on his first attempt with Learn2Drive No Gears This is probably because things are explained so that clients understand what and why they need to do things to anticipate and plan and to drive safely. I do not focus on getting them to pass the test but to drive the rest then follows. ... So congratulations Mohammed but if feel if you would have come to me first you would have spent far less on lesson. It’s also not what the lessons cost. But what you get for your lessons.

His lessons are very well thought out for the needs of the pupil and he is great at helping to show you all the different driving scenarios real life driving will offer you. As well as learning through driving practice, Geoff uses an ipad to really help his student visualise and understand driving scenarios before you do them or puts this to good use to help the student understand the scenario afterwards. I’m a visual learner and this method really helped my confidence and understanding of how to be a good driver.
