To celebrate 'World Storytelling Day' today we had a visit from Rogan Mills yesterday, the 'Storytelling Man'. The children listened so well to all Rogan's fantastic stories! We even jumped a few times when the wolf came. Stories are so powerful and the children get so much from them, in every area of development. What story are you going to read tonight?

On Monday the 11th March myself and Mrs Maloney went to London to join the APPG, All Party Parliamentary Group on Nursery schools, Nursery and Reception classess, to lobby MP's and march to Downing Street to present a letter to the Chancellor asking him to provide long-term sustainable funding for Maintained Nursery Schools, just like Lee Royd Nursery School. It was a brilliant day and the turn out was amazing from Nursery schools from all over the country.

We have had a fantastic morning and afternoon with James from the Wriggly Roadshow. The children have loved seeing such amazing animals!

This week Mrs. Wharton's class are listening to a story called 'The Zoo Vet'. They are learning all about zoo animals and thinking about how to look after them. Can you think of any other stories about zoo animals?

Welcome back after a lovely half term break! The weather is amazing, so we are making the most of playing and enjoying ourselves outside. Don't forget its World Book Day on the 7th March, so get your costumes ready! There will be prizes for each class.

Get your thinking caps on!! Come to nursery dressed as your favourite book character on Thursday 7th March

Today is 'Silly Sock Day' in Nursery! We have some very silly and colourful socks. Thank you for all your donations to Nursery. Just a reminder to parents that we finish for half term today and we are back on Monday 25th February. Have a good break everyone!

'Happy International Book Giving day!' We have had a great visit to Accrington Library today. We listened to stories and sang songs. We are going again over the next few weeks, so please come! Also at Nursery we gave each child a book to take home. Enjoy reading your stories.
