One of the biggest rock societies in the country, we run our own clubnight (Cyanide) inside the Leeds University Union once a semester, where you will hear all kinds of rock, from Lamb of God and Parkway Drive to The Who and Motley Crue. Aside from this, we meet down Strawbs bar every friday to, er, drink in a responsible fashion and converse without raised voices or stumbling. Honest.

BUT that's not all
Aside from these official, regular, rocking events, and the numerous pub outings, gigs, rock clubs and house parties we go to, we also occasionally get a coachload or two of rockers and descend upon famous rock clubs across the country (Nottingham Rock City, Sheffield Corporation and Spiders in Hull, to name a few). There is also the Alt Ball, a massive event which takes place every year where us rockers can put on a suit, comb our hair, and look semi-presentable, at least for the first hour or so of the event.

With over 300 members in 2010, there's no doubt that anybody rocking will meet at least someone they can rant at for hours about their favourite band! So if you're sick of Mission and Tiger Tiger, and the whole mainstream thang doesn't do it for you, then come along to RockSoc and drown out the overwhelming silence in your life!
