Leicestershire & Rutland Blood Bikes

Leicestershire & Rutland Blood Bikes is a charitable organisation run by volunteers serving the local hospitals and Air Ambulance. The group was founded in May 2014

We are providing a FREE courier service to public health bodies in Leicestershire & Rutland out of hours between 7pm and 7am Monday to Friday with 24 hour cover at weekends and public holidays.
We will carry emergency blood, blood products, pathology samples, patient notes, x-rays, patient scans, surgical equipment, donated breast milk in fact anything where there is an urgent need to transport an item that will directly benefit patient care.

Even though our group is run totally by volunteers we aim to provide a professional quality service, allowing the money saved to be re-invested back into patient care.
