Where to start! The food was great! The ciders was amazing! And the music.....so good!! Everyone was so friendly!! Loved music on the main stage and in the bar tent! Defo come next year! Especially loved foo fighters tribute! Thanks!!

User

What a great venue, first visit to a SnC festival but was amazing, the management team make regular trips around the site to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves and to address any issues, food fab, cider fab, can't beat tribute bands - where else do you get Abba, Amy, Spice girls, Specials, Luther and it goes on, toilets cleaner than my own home and a buggy to take your kit back to the car! Dax and Shaggy are stars, thank you for a great weekend, just sad I couldn't stay for Sunday xxx. Great gig guys xx

User

What a fantastic weekend!!!! Lots of money has gone into making things better than last year. James was super helpful in every way and always around to help with carrying bags to the campsite and back.

Loads of choice to eat and drink and plenty of stuff for kids to do. The stage was huge and the entertainment really good.

Never had to queue for anything which was bonus!

The only thing that I would say was disappointing was the 10pm curfew.

We thought it would have been good to have the evening music acts starting a bit later and finishing later.

But other that the whole weekend was lovely, really chilled and loads of fun.

Looking forward to next year already!!!

User

We went last year and again this year. The security are friendly and join in with the children and adults, the music was ok last year but much better this year. Cider was spot on amd reasonable at £4 a pint, no queues at the bar, quick service. Free water and sun cream for the children shows how thoughtful the hosts were. Cleaning up all through the day so no rubbish lying around and toilets clean. The only thing I would ask is that there is more choice for food. Last year there was noodles and Indian etc. I know it's a sausage festival but when you're staying for the weekend it would good to eat something other than sausage and burger. Apart from that spot on, a fabulous weekend and we will all be back next year, give it a try. Thank you to the organisers and everyone who worked it and made it such great fun.

User

This was our second time (first time camping) and it was brilliant. The staff and security were so friendly and helpful. Children’s entertainment great. The acts were fantastic and the Cider beautiful. Gutted it’s not here next year but thank you so much for a wonderful family weekend. The Young’s x

This is the Frist time myself and my fiancé have been to a sausage and cider festival all I can say is James you have done some amazing work along with the events team. I've been to some major festivals in my time and I've got to say you was better then some I've been to. There was plenty for kids to do and no queues for the beer tent or food and the work force was very friendly and welcoming and offered free sun cream also water.

The camp site was very clean and the event area was also free from litter. The event even had a van to help people move there camping gear up to the grounds so you was not struggling. which I've never been to a festival which gives this service for free.

I also found the toilets was every where no queues and maintained and clean all the time. security was very friendly and helpful and looked very professional well done guys/girls.

Well done James and the team for making a Amazing weekend for us.

I will be definitely booking again.

User

Thankyou sausage cider festival for a fantastic weekend. After reading the reviews we were a little worried but how wrong we were. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Helping me carry my over packed camping kit.

The whole weekend was well Organised and you could tell that last years comments were listened to. The kids had a ball and loved the punch and judy show and the craft tent. Yes prices were not cheap for food and drink but that is just what you pay for festivals everywhere. On the whole we had a fantastic weekend. And as long as the ticket price doesn't increase massively we will be back with more friends and family next year. A couple suggestions for next year. The fireworks were on to early and we couldn't really see them in the light. And maybe a camp shop selling basic items we all run out of. Milk bread and Other essentials. And a special big thank you to the man sitting on the entrance to the camp site. Think his name is Terry? He was the most happy friendly helpful chap. Every festival should have him. X

User

Just want to say me and my partner have had the best weekend! Staff are so so friendly, toilets are clean, equipped with sanitiser! Over 20 ciders, kids tent, fairground which yes some of the rides were £4 but any event with are fairhround will charge £4, the kids don't need to go on every single one, limit them over the weekend or play games near your tent the good old fashioned way! Tribute acts were great especially bob Marley, Luther vandross, Planet ABBA and badness were fab! Few little stalls to look around and they handed out free water and suncream for the unequipped! (Myself included) there was a guy waiting to cart all the heavy gear up to the tent and back down again to the car which was very handy! Can't fault it one bit! We'll be defo returning next year!! James Dean and the organisation team were really friendly checking we were happy and if there was anything they could do! Well done guys by the sounds of last year's review you've really excelled yourselves this year! Congrats on a fab festival see you next year!! X

User

James Dean what an amazing guy brilliantly run festival something for everyone this is our 4th year as a family of eleven aged from 65 years - 3 years old. This guy goes over and above and actually cares. All the team deserve a massive pat on the back from cleaning team security childrens entertainers and all the others inbetween. We've watched James Dean events grow over the year's and each year they get better and better. Thank you again for this amazing family event

User

I'd read some awful comments about last years festival, and wondered if we were doing the right thing in going. I'm so glad we did. We had the most amazing time, and it was so well organised; they've obviously listened to what people said last time. Never had to queue for a loo (which were cleaned every hour), lovely food, huge selection of ciders and brilliant bands. The camp site was great with lots of space between pitches and security were there all night. Really can't fault it! Looking forward to the next one!

User

Great weekend! Not as many things to do as as last year like kids rides, animal area etc (saved us a small fortune) had an amazing weekend with friend and family, we will be back again next year

User

Great small friendly festival. Good laughs and great price, will be organising a group of people to go next year.

User

Friendly, helpful organisers and security, clean loos with paper, great ciders, no queues and some of the best bands you will see for £30 for 3 nights and days of entertainment !

Loved every minute of dancing, singing, chilling and sausage eating. If you like a friendly relaxed festival this is ideal ! We are getting ready to book for next year and will be bringing as many of our family as we can !

User

Fantastic weekend with friends where we were definately looked after. Camp site was great and not too far to main arena where there was a good selection of ales and cider. Free water provided also. Tribute acts were brilliant and I especially enjoyed Saturday Night with Miss Madonna and Planet ABBA. Great vibe from the other people attending also which is important with children there. Great stuff for the kids to do too.Staff were excellent and couldn't help enough. Only downside is that we had to leave on Sunday and not able to stay till Monday. We will defiantly be going next year. Thank you. X

User

Fantastic weekend a usual. Great music. Great cider. Awesome crowd. Security up for a laugh too. We went with about 25 adults and kids in Caravans, tents and campers. Everyone had a great time. Heard a rumour it's not on next year. That will be a shame. Derby is far too big for younger kids, this is the perfect sized festival. #saveleicestershiresasaugeandciderfestiva l

User

Can't fault these guys. Heard they had a few problems last year which is inevitable when you do something for the first time. The team have obviously worked hard to address their issues and seem to have been successful.. We camped for the weekend as part of my birthday celebrations and from the moment we arrived we thought the stewards were friendly and helpful . The security team very laid back and relaxed, joining in the dancing.(They loved Take That). The cleaning team were great. The acts were great , even the ones I didn't expect to like.Special mention to The FooFigh5ters and The Antartic Monkeys but Abba were brilliant too.The sound was brilliant so well done to the sound technicians also who can make or break these acts. All in all a fantastic weekend. I am sure this festival will grow and grow...Well done to everyone involved. Take a bow....

User

Absolutely loved it! I didn't queue once for the bar, was served straight away, loads of drinks to choose from ( was really pleased by this as I'm not really a cider fan) had THE best sausage and mash potato I have ever had from one of the many stalls. Tribute bands were great, Luther being my fave

Well organised, well planned out, and plenty of staff members about, to give you any info required! Well done to the organisers!!! Brilliant job

User

A great family friendly event. The site was kept clean and tidy, the staff were helpful and friendly. There was a great atmosphere and plenty for the kids to do. Everything was reasonably priced and the bands were good. The reggae and rock bands appealed to us most. We will definitely be back next year. The only thing I would like to see is a few different food options because although its a sausage festival a bit more variety would be good. Maybe curry or something healthy ish for children. Overall a great, well organised event. Thanks for a fantastic weekend.

User

A MASSIVE congratulations to the team at the Leicestershire Sausage and Cider festival for a fantastic event. There were 10 of us today including 2 babies, and we had the best day. We also celebrated our Dad's birthday and he said that he's had the best birthday in years!! Thank you also to Darren, for letting me bring a birthday cake in. He was very accommodating. The whole team were really lovely. I can't praise the event enough. Whatever complaints there were from last year (which I attended) the guys have gone above and beyond to turn it around. Well done!! ✋
