Leigh Chantler Soft Tissue Therapist Description

I became a Soft Tissue Therapist, after seeing a Physiotherapist about a sports injury. I spoke about wanting a new challenge /career, as I wasn't feeling enthusiastic about going back to being a Beauty Therapist or working in an office. My Son is now 9 and the time had come for me to go back to work! She suggested Sports and Remedial Massage at the London School of Sports Massage, as I already have massage and anatomy knowledge. I went home, looked at the website, spoke to my husband and signed up that evening!

After a life-changing, hard-working, challenging, inspiring & amazing year! I qualified and can proudly say I have a BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy, and I love my job!

I work from home, which is great, as I can have flexible working hours, which fit in with my family life and my clients busy lives too.

I love that I now have 'a box of tricks' different techniques that can give amazing instant results! It's such an amazing feeling to provide a service that I truly believe in, and I am going to continue learning and developing my skills and techniques to help my clients be the best they can be!

What is Soft Tissue Therapy?
Soft tissue therapy is the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of minor and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. These injuries /conditions can be caused by any of life’s stresses, health style choices and sporting activities, and clients can be treated from all walks of life. The Soft Tissues of the musculoskeletal system that can be treated are the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia.
The aim of Soft Tissue therapy is to look at the whole person and not just the area causing discomfort, therefore it can make long term improvements and not just temporary relief.

It offers hands-on treatment combining traditional massage with postural /joint assessments and advanced soft tissue techniques adapted from physiotherapy /osteopathy, as well as providing remedial advice and /or exercises to restore and improve muscle health.

Thank you soooo much too this young lady on Monday. She came round my house after my back went and i ended up collapsed on floor for a few hours. She flew round and managed to get me up and walking around within 30mins.

Sorry Leigh Brislin Chantler for throwing you in at the deep end. I learnt all about my different muscles that morning and once recovered i will be a regular client. Thank you.

Leigh is very professional and her knowledge is second to none. Have had two massages now and both times left feeling better than when I walked in. Would definitely recommend
