The first Northern League match is at Preston on Sunday I have put a team sheet up at the club for the ladies team , are struggling for all the middle distance events 800 ,1500 ,and 3000 mts plus we have no hurdles if you think you can come and compete on Sunday please let me know Joe

Information re Northern Athletics League Match 1 Sunday 19th May. Attached is the location of UCLan Sports Arena We will be providing food and drinks for officials only. We are running a shop from which sweets and hot/cold drinks can be purchased. The UCLan Sports Arena is not near any shops and so it would be advisable to bring food with you. ... Please note that there is very little cover if it is wet. You can bring tents With regard to traffic I would strongly advise not going through Preston. Leigh Harriers & AC are part of the organising group for the Leigh Community 10k Road Race. This is taking place on Sunday 11th August 2019 at 9.30 a.m. in Leigh Town Centre (Leigh Town Hall, Market St, Leigh WN7 1DY).
Affiliated Club members are invited to take part in this flat, fast race which is ideal for achieving a PB. Last year’s winning time 30.52 (M. Cayton, Ribble Valley Harriers). Race is Run Britain licenced, accurately measured and chip timed. All runners receive a uniquely designed medal.
The price for affiliated Club members would normally be £17.00 but there is a special offer of a further 10% discount for this race, reducing the cost to £15.30. Simply enter CODE LocalClub1 when you apply on-line (there are no postal entries).
Wigan and Leigh Hospice is the partner charity for this event. By taking part you will help the charity care for over 1,000 people with a life-limiting illness and those closest to them every year.
