WOW How time flies when your having fun, I have now been activities coordinator for a little over 6 weeks and must say enjoying every minute. Thank you to all Staff, residents & families for making me feel so welcome . Here are a selection of photos taken so far and from now on I will update regularly to keep you updated with all Leighton house news !😀

Our new activities coordinator Kerry has joined and has got all our resident up in joy with meaningful activities! More to come in the coming weeks :)

Today at Leighton House we decided to treat our care staff with some afternoon tea and snacks with the help of Aggie, our Chef! Check out some of the pictures below!

Today we took 3 of our amazing residents to Morden Hall Park. It was an amazing day out walking and exploring the lively environment then stopping of for some tea and snacks. We are happy to say that all the residents had an amazing day out and would love to go back again. A special thanks to Andreia who arranged for the outing!

Last week we had a fantastic, cheerful afternoon with Nathan! Together with the residents and their family, everyone was dancing, clapping and singing along together with the music. It was great to see Nathan singing along at Leighton House playing music from the 60’s era. Well done to all the staff including Andreia and Aniel who participated in the event, its small moments like these that make the biggest of differences!

On the 8.7.18, we hosted our annual summer party and what a turn out it was! We are so grateful for everyone who showed up and hope you all had an amazing day together with us.
It's events like this which brings us all together and separates us from our competition, we are close family unit and enjoy the little things that make a big impact to our residents daily living.
Once again we would like to thank those who attended and to all the amazing staff who helped out on the day. A special thanks to Aggie for her wonderful food, Andreia for her decorations, Faz for the party raffle and Sheik for keeping the place immaculate! Well done to all!

Leighton House Summer Party has been arranged for the 8th July. We have a Hawaiian theme going on, BBQ, Drinks and Entertainment on the day so bring your party hats, friends and family!

Dear Fazilla
Congratulations on your 10th year with us at Leighton House! We are all so proud of you and value your dedication and passion towards care. You have been a true star and It’s amazing how a whole decade has passed and your character hasn’t changed. You are still one of the most the fun, talented and entertaining characters of the home and its characters like you that separates us from our competition! Remember, a home is only as good as its staff, so keep up the good spirit and well see you again on your 30th Anniversary! Haha

It was another fantastic event yesterday with David Mac, thanks again for spending another delightful time at Leighton House! Everyone was so pleased to see you yesterday and it was amazing to see all participated dancing and singalongs with everyone. All the residents and the staff of Leighton House had a great time. We are always looking forward for another wonderful time. Here are the photos taken yesterday!

It was suggested that Activities within the home should provide “Creative, Intellectual, and Spiritual Stimulation” and that residents should be treated with “Dignity, Compassion, and Respect”. I feel confident that we can tick all these boxes here at Leighton House and have witnessed how the staff are able to meet these aims. I see the passion and care that they have in their care delivery. The photos I took during these times speak for themselves. I would like to thank all the staff of Leighton House for showing me what “CARE” really means.
