Leisure Lakes Bikes Bury

Very unhelpful ,why bother advertising kids bike if you are not prepared to sell them

Clueless and arrogant... Leisure Lakes have probably one of the best showrooms in the country for ogling two wheeled shiny toys but the fun stops there. What sort of bike shop can't help me with a bottom bracket spacer, a gear cable and outer or a barb and olive so I can service my own brake lines. I usually only visit if I'm desperate and happen to be passing but each time I do I go in filled with hope that things have got better. Sadly, there's seldom any improvement to the arrogant and clueless staff. Great place to look around but for anything more (like maintaining a bike) look elsewhere. There's a great shop with helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff just down the road in Rawtenstall.

Not impressed by this place, took my bike in for a service a couple of months ago, gear came back misaligned and have recently had problems with the derailleur which was meant to be adjusted and fixed. In addition it was annoying that they greased the chain but didn't clean it, so lots of dirty oil transfers on clothes and around the house until I cleaned it myself. Also it's a bit of a boys club here, not a welcoming/friendly atmosphere unless you're part of the inside crowd - I'm not, so was either given the cold shoulder or had awkward/bad jokes made at my expense.

good selection of bikes, staff are always there to help and have great knowledge of products sold.

Went to buy a new road bike but after half an hour no one showed any interest so I left. Very unhelpful staff

Bought 2 bikes from Leisure Lakes and despite some reviews saying bad place etc they have always been great with me, maybe it was the people's attitudes why they got treated badly !!! They price matched products from CRC without blinking and have most parts in stock

The best bike shop around for miles! Very helpful, knowledgeable staff that all ride so they know what they are talking about. One of the biggest ranges of stock I have seen including some real high end things to drool over.
