Leisure Lakes Bikes Lancaster

I've been moutian biking for over 10 years usually 2/3times per week I've used many shops and friends to help with my bike maintenance, then about 18 months ago I was recommended to try Leisure lakes in Lancaster. It was like a breath of fresh air they
Look after my bike like it's there own. Amazing work every time. Good on price great on service. Pete and his team always make it there main proirity to make sure your happy. I've had a new bike from there too, same great service I've come to expect.

I purchased a orange alpine 6 from lesuire lakes in Lancaster with Pete from shop handling all my needs, It was a very stress free experience and all the and knowledge and advice was greatly appreciated, Pete really did go the distance to make sure the bike was set up right before I left the shop and he couldn’t do enough to help, if your looking to buy a new bike and not really sure on which one to go for , pop down to lesuire lakes Lancaster you’ll soon be sorted out,

Spent hard earned cash on a new bike from Lancaster branch. Great service which continued after purchase. Never too busy to give advice, even when no purchase involved.

Purchased a bike and accessories from Leisure Lakes after extensive research , found them to have great range, excellent customer service, very well-informed and professional staff (Especially the manager Pete) whilst being friendly and approachable at the same time .Highly recommended .

Took my bike in as it was making a strange clicking noise when peddling. After initially being looked at by the shop it was determined that nothing obvious was wrong with it. They said they had stripped down the pedals/bottom bracket area, checked the bearings, tightened everything up, re-greased etc and when they tested it, the noise was no longer present.

This work cost £60 (new brake blocks and labour for the work on the bottom bracket/pedals) and no phone call was received from them to confirm if they could go ahead with the work, even though when I spoke to the shop, they said they would call to confirm prices etc before commencing any work.

I picked the bike up and after peddling 200 metres away from the shop, the noise was there...

I took it back straight away and they said they would look at it the next day. Once they'd had a second look, it was now decided that the bottom bracket WAS the cause so a new one was fitted (£40 for the part, no labour charge).

Used the bike for a couple of days noise free and then it returned...

I didn't want to take it back due to the poor customer service experienced recently and decided to have a look at the issue myself. I stripped the bike down and it turned out that the seatpost needed cleaning and re-greasing (£5 from Halfords). The bike has been noise free now for a month.

NEVER using Leisure Lakes Lancaster again!

Nice people and good bikes (we rented two for three days to explore the area).

Cyclist in distress broken gear cables at start of cycle holiday. No worries repaired perfectly in flash wonderfully stocked shop friendly staff. I wold say bset cycle shop in Lancaster

Although prices tend to stay at RRP, I have been impressed with their service throughout the past few years. The staff are kind and knowledgeable and their mechanic is good enough to sort just about anything out.

Great place. I live in Northamptonshire and will only use this shop, happy to send things down to me. Staff are incredible in their knowledge and never try the hard sale.

What a great shop, its like a hidden bike oasis, my partner was like a kiddie in a sweet shop. The staff member we dealt with was so knowledgeable, when you're spending a good amount of money you want to make sure you're getting the best fit. It was like she knew every bike in the shop, we told her what we were looking for and she took us to one that she thought would suit and i'm not joking it was his DREAM bike, even down to the colours and for a really reasonable price. It's a lovely shop with a great atmosphere, we never once felt like we were being pushed into a sale. We've been back since and bought a lovely bike for me too, it has a basket! I wouldn't go anywhere else for a bike or bike accessories now we've found Leisure Lakes. Thanks to all the team, and to the lovely girl who served us.

Your local go to bike shop. Reasonable pricing on a wide range of cycling styles with knowledgeable and helpful staff at hand to give advice. They also have a repair service area which I have used most recently to true my wheels.

Usually impressed with Leisure Lakes however took my bike in for a bronze service recently and wish I hadnt.

The bike came back over a week and a half late and was not in a rideable state when i got it home. The parts that were ordered were needed, and i have no problem with the price I paid for the parts, but my chain rubs on the shifter and my speedo cable has been un aligned and loosened.

I let the staff know at the start it was for a big charity event and needed it sorting so it lasted and was very disappointed.

Not impressed, will have to find somewhere else.
