I agree with some of the other reviewers in that they do tend to advertise bikes that they don't have in stock. In my case I ordered a Cube e-bike and was told when ordering that delivery would be about 3 months, and this seemed to be backed up by other retailers I consulted on the internet. Cube seems to be very disorganised in that when confirming delivery directly with them because I was about to go overseas and I wanted to take the bike, they didn't seem to be able to confirm an actual manufacturing date and blamed difficulty in the supply of parts to meet orders. Then Cube delivered the wrong model of bike to their UK distributor, who is based in Holland. I was just about to cancel the order and request a refund of my deposit when my husband spoke to Leisure Wheels, who suggested I buy a size smaller of the ordered model because that was in stock. Leisure Wheels dispatched the bike to me that day and I received it the next, so I am grateful to the service provided by them that I was able to travel overseas with the bike. Cube must be losing a fortune by not fulfilling demand for their products in the UK. I'm surprised how disorganised they seem to be for a German Company, but their products do seem to be better value than the competition, and Dan at Leisure Wheels did point this out to me when at one stage I was looking at alternative brands to the never arriving Cube. The bike from Leisure Wheels was also very competitively priced.

Recently purchased a bike online with Leisure Wheels and the service and speed of delivery has been excellent. I will definitely use them again.

I should have read the last review before purchasing! urghh! I have just received a new bike and nothing has been set up. I doubt they even opened the packaging to check the bike over. I was also lured in by a discount on a newer model following an older model suddenly being out of stock, even though still being advertised. They happily took my money first time, then offered the discount on the later model. I wish I hadn't now, as will be spending some additional money getting someone to set the bike up, especially when the packaging states the warranty may be void if not set up by an approved supplier. And not to mention the additional faff of organising this, delay in getting on the road with the new bike.... and this is when you think you are doing the independents a good service, will stick to the big boys and pay the premium next time, shame.

These people took my payment for a bike which they claimed was in stock, but it suddenly turned out wasn't available anymore (so why was it advertised as 'in stock' you may ask... and why do they continue to advertise the very same offer even today, a full month after I had a mini-fight with them about the fake offer). They then dangled the carrot of a different (more expensive) bike but with a discount. So they basically, lured me in with a non-existent offer and once they had my money got me to pay more for a different bike.

They claimed it would come fully setup ("just need to put the front wheel in"), but literally not one thing on it was setup properly, the discs and gears were basically non-functioning because they are so far off setup. There wasn't a drop of oil on the gears (all totally dry) so I don't even think it went in to their workshop. I'm now spending £35 to have my local bike shop set it up for me.

They also promised to send me a water bottle holder as some sort of deal sweetener ... that never showed up.

The fact this same non-existent offer is still up on their website says as a minimum they are incompetent, but speaking personally I think I think they have some bad working practices going on here which all feels a bit 'tricky'.

I would never buy anything from them ever again.
