We came across this restaurant midway through a long journey. We turned up quite late but the staff were very understanding and served us one of the best meals we've ever had.

5 star food & service. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

We booked after hearing good things from friends that had lunch here and seeing the Sun-Thursday free prosecco for tables of 4+ advert on Facebook- and we are so glad we did! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff could not be friendlier or more attentive and most importantly the food was top notch! After being seated and ordering drinks, singha beers for the men and our free bottle of prosecco for us ladies ( really nice prosecco too, not the cheap vinegar we expected given that it was free) our table of 4 ordered the Lemongrass mixed starter, a great tapas of 4 different starter items, the menu says minimum 2ppl, but by this they mean the price (£15) is for 2 people.. so we were charged for 2. We weren't told this when we ordered but thought it might be the case.. however we did feel that 1 of each item per person at £7.50pp was a little steep on reflection. Would of been nice to be made aware of this when ordering as not everyone wanted every item. For mains we had a range of different things, nine of which disappointed.. the or favourite Thai green curry was a little hotter than other places but so good!!! The sweet and sour chicken was amazing and Phad Thai was yum.. All the food was all really tasty and such lovely service meant we all left stuffed and smiling. Will definitely be back VERY soon, and will be telling my friends about this great new venue in town.

This is my new favourite restaurant in brentwood. I have been here twice now. Food delicious and service excellent. It's about time we had a decent Thai place to go to.

The food is fantastic, and great service

Received a warm welcome. Very extensive menu with a good wine list. Food presented beautifully on lovely unusual china ware. The quality of the food was just perfect. Unusual flavours with a clean fresh taste. The meat was cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and attention to detail was spot on. Will be going back and would thoroughly recommend.

I can't fault this place!! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday meal and was running half hour late and even though the restaurant was packed out they still managed to seat us! The staff are really attentive and friendly and the food tastes amazing!! Really reasonably priced I will definitely be returning!! :)

Food was lovely duck spring rolls, chicken satay and Thai green curry was delicious

First time I have been there recommended by my Husband who has eaten there a few times.. I would go back there again and again. Vey polite and attentive staff. The food was wonderful and worth the money.

Brentwood has needed a decent Thai restaurant for years and we finally have one! Lovely restaurant with good service. Food great with large portion sizes and reasonably priced. Particularly love the beef penang. Takeaway service is also good! Have dined in and taken away - and would certainly return. Will be blogging and adding my review to Trip Advisor!

Good local Thai restaurant. Big menu with lots to choose from, good wine list and friendly service. Restaurant is a bit scruffy in parts from where it used to be an Indian restaurant before (for example thr toilets upstairs). Some of the younger members of staff are also a bit clueless and not very attentive, but overall good and worth a visit.

First time dining at The Lemongrass. Staff were very friendly, food tasty, wasn't rushed, cheaper than the GS down the road, but portions not as big. I'd happily go back though

Fab food will go again, the only bad point was we sat by front door and had to get up each time to shut it, it was a cold night and the wind was just blowing in, I did complain and ask to be moved but no other tables available . Host did say they were waiting for a glass shield to be placed, but it didn't help us. They did understand and gave us a bottle of wine as good will gesture. But as I say food was fab and will go again

Gutted.. I have ordered here before and it’s been okay..

Ordered tonight and got told the delivery time was 45mins to an 1hr, that’s fine I understand it’s busy. I asked if it would be easier for me to collect, I was told yes and it would be 20-25mins.

I ordered at 20:00 and received my meal at 20:45 (I might as well of got delivery!!!!)

Finally I asked for a green curry but mild, no spice (I love the flavours just not the burn!)

THIS IS LITERALLY THE HOTTEST CURRY I HAVE EVER EATEN (my boyfriend loves spice and even he said it has a kick)

Good food overall although lamb in the massaman curry was a bit chewy and not enough rice - not too bad value for the lunch deal

Slow delivery then when called to enquire was told they'd given our order to someone else! Won't be ordering again and would not recommend. When food finally arrived was average and expensive for takeaway.

“Small Take Away Portions and High Price!” Both me and my partner are regular customers along with our work colleagues to Lemongrass since its opening (as we work nearby) and very much enjoy the restaurant dining experience but after the Take Away experience which I ordered last night, I may have to rethink dining there ever again. The Take Out was extremely poor and very expensive for what it was which im extremely disappointed with. The Sharing Duck & Pancakes which was £15 was the most smallest and embarrassing amount ever given. Honestly this was about 2 tablespoons of meat and full of bones mixed in with leaf salad!? - to bulk out the poor amount of meat maybe? Wasn't happy with this at all and for the bill to be a massive £40 for 2 main dishes, 2 plain boiled rices, a bag of prawn crackers and the smallest amount of Duck & Pancakes ever.



Its a shame as the Lemongrass may want to rethink their Take Out structure before losing another regular customer.
