What a great end to the night with The Human League. Thank you Bristol, you rocked! Safe journey home everyone and we'll see you next time :)
We had a awesome time ..the park and ride was excellent and we didn’t wait at all ..great atmosphere and OMD were brilliant..the loos were clean with plenty of loo roll ..we will be back 😎
Thanks to all at Let's Rock Bristol! Great day out ☀️
One man who fixed the toilet really made my day, with his 'Naughty toilet'.
All your acts were brilliant - I love watching live music 🎶
Enjoyed a nice veggie burrito, although more choice for veggies wouldn't go amiss next time. Even though I didn't use it, the free tap water was a nice touch on a hot day. Well done 😁
Hi guys . Did anyone happen to pick up a bag with some coats in ? A pink weird fish jumper, a pink rain coat and a blue raincoat ? In a black and white carrier bag ? We left it behind
Great line up this year. Really well organised too. Park and ride worked very well despite my reservations. Well done LRB! Only two things on the feedback front and they are...
That poor steward on the posh loos was there all day, and boy did he get some grief, despite the ongoing abuse he stayed really courteous. The other, too many chairs and picnic rugs in the standing area, normally they are moved on but this year that didn’t happen.
Fantastic line up. Good facilities. Shuttle buses worked a treat. Tickets were well worth the money.
Only minor moan is that because some acts got held up, the Human League set seemed rushed and short.
Would definitely come again.
Fabulous. Less gaps between acts than Rewind, just enough time to grab a drink or do a toilet stop & the next act was on. Superb location. Awesome band's- OMD, Tony Hadley, ABC & Human League in particular were superb! Thank you for an amazing day.
Brilliant day out , well organised with plenty of toilets & the free water station was great! The shuttle buses were efficient.... no huge queues or messing around at the end of the night like there often is . A few technical problems with sound but nothing which really impacted the great atmosphere- we’ll be coming again!!
It was a really good day.. .. few things.
Needed a variant of music types.. more toilets both sides bar both sides..
And mostly not many people in Bristol drink strong bow, do research it should have been thatchers... drinks should be cheaper or let people bring own.
But will be bk next year.. x
I am a big fan of this event but the venue let it down this year. No parking, Too small an overall space which meant it was all very squashed up, limited viewing of the acts unless you went down to the stage area. Other things also seemed to be on a smaller scale too the toilets and bar areas. Whilst prices have gone up again for all refreshments! Please return to Ashton Court next year. The sunshine and bands saved the show for you this year Lets Rock Bristol.
Great line up, OMD stole the show but please, please please take it back to Ashton Court. The enclosure was too small and too flat. Not enough loos and 2 ice cream vans right in the middle of the field blocking the view. Why???? I would happily pay an extra tenner if cost is the issue? Will have to be a spectacular line up next year to get me back to the Downs.
Amazing day, fantastic atmosphere, great people, fab music. Only 1 niggle - I do feel that the VIP area was overbooked - a lot of people couldn’t even find a seat. You pay well over the ticket price to use that area so you don’t expect to struggle for space or seating xxxxxx
This was our first time at Let's Rock ...We were very disappointed.
The first 4 or 5 acts we could not hear as the fairground music was louder than the acts themselves.
The sound level was very low . No music inbetween acts .
Could not see the screens as they were to small .
We all came in good spirits but was really disappointed for the first part of the day . It did get better the last 4 acts .
Not sure if we would go again
No where near as good as Ashton park. Too many breaks in music that never happened before. you need to sort your toilet situation too. Last year was useless this year worse. To the point I felt I needed to buy a posh loo ticket. Seems we are getting less for the money. Come on lets rock bristol it has been such a good event... sort it out go back to Ashton court and think about your public conveniences
Line up was great but the venue too small. We queued from 9.00 so that we could get a great spot right on the edge of the dance/standing area in front of the stage. At about 1.00/2.00pm people came in and sat in front of all the earlybirds and in front of the barriers. When people complained to your security they just ignored tbem and moved the barriers forward. So much for fairness.
It was no where near as good as it was at Ashton Court, such a shame that it was moved. The natural amphitheatre at AC made it special. It seemed a lot more chaotic, and the amount of rubbish left everywhere was disgusting, Cookham was not as bad as that this year.
If it is the same location next year I won't bother going.
Enjoyed the day, but the queues for the bars were intolerable. More outlets needed.
And the compere was utterly dreadful. Little information but lots of pointless shouting. You can do better than that. As for the long silences between the acts, perhaps you could employ an appropriate-era disc jockey to spin some sounds. Sara Cox for just 20 minutes seemed like a a waste for such a short period.
Def a lot better at Ashton court. I don't understand why you allow the fair rides to play such loud music which stops you from hearing the acts if you are near the back.... extremely irritating.
Bad things first. You need two bars one each side. No draught drinks suitable for veggies/vegans and food barely any better. Wife didn't have anything all day as a result.
Why have Sara Cox for 20 mins then have total silence between acts. Atmosphere died every time. Even the crap announcer went AWOL. Then the VIP area is competing with what background music there was. Even kept going after OMD started. Disrespectful.
Last 2 acts had to do shorter sets as not running to time. Poor.
Good: Blockheads and Billy and Marc.
Very good: Human League.
Utterly brilliant: OMD.
Will seriously think about next year when paying £5 for rubbish lager and cider. Happy to pay but serve decent stuff.
Wrong venue it should be at Ashton court there were far too many picnic blankets and idiots who had no consideration it was a task to get out from where we were sat to go anywhere.Pat sharp disappeared come the afternoon and the gaps between acts was a joke.I personally think year on year they’ve cutback on funds and it’s got worse when it should be better. Will not be going next year if it’s at the downs as it was way too overcrowded compared to last year at Ashton court.
