🇬🇧️This fun game develops oral motor skills, which are truly important for speech and eating abilities. In certain circumstances ( structural or neurogenic condition such as dysarthria, tumors, cranial nerve damage, strokes etc.) it occurs a velopharyngeal inadequacy. The velopharyngeal inadequacy results when the soft palate(velum) during constriction, fails to elevate and retract against the stationary posterior pharyngeal wall. This activity stimulates the soft palate be...cause by raising and lowering it, we can increase the tone in the muscle, thereby increasing stiffness.

🇮🇹️ Questo gioco divertente serve a potenziale le abilità motorie orali, che sono estremamente importanti per lo speech e le abilità deglutitorie. In alcune circostanze (condizioni strutturali oppure neurogene quali Disartria, tumori, deficit di alcuni nervi cranici, ictus ecc.) si verifica un'insufficienza velofaringea. Questa condizione fa sì che non ci sia una completa chiusura dello sfintere tra orofaringe e rinofaringe che normalmente si verifica grazie all'elevazione del palato molle e la contrazione delle pareti faringee laterale e posteriore. Quest'attività stimola il velo pendulo in quanto, -innalzandolo ed abbassandolo- , possiamo aumentare il tono muscolare, e quindi aumentarne la rigidità.
